He is the author of other children's books such as the splendid "Big Bear Little Bear" and "Little Otter's Big Journey". For older children, he has also written a football series: "The Team". As I have not read this, I cannot comment further.

Advantages: Gentle story for Easter Disadvantages: none
...Now that the Easter eggs are on the shelves and Christmas is well and truly past, I thought I would share this book with you all. I know that a lot of parents are concerned when it comes to giving their children lots of chocolate at Easter and I feel that this book would make an excellent alternative to an egg.
***Background***
This book is written by Sophie Piper and is illustrated by Gaby Hansen. Sophie Piper is better known for writing Bible stories but this one isn't religious at all apart from the fact that it happens at Easter.
Gaby Hansen has illustrated many children's books for a variety of different writers including DavidBedford and Jane Johnson.
***The Story***

Soon a lady and her two children...

David’s young life had been a fairly normal one, until he reached the age of four. Then things changed forever.
In his true story he gives versions of the true events that took place in his family home.
When David was four, his mother unintentionally broke his arm whilst she was in one of her drunken states. David was taken upstairs to bed, but he was put in the top bunk of the bunk beds instead of his usual place on the bottom bunk. The next morning, she told him...
