Advantages: Another iconic actor
Disadvantages: I guess you have to like Hemmings

...WHO IS DAVID HEMMINGS? British actor born in Guildford in 1941, best known for 'Blow Up', as Nolan in 'The Charge of the Light Brigade, Dildano (ooer) in Barbarella, and Camelot. He died in 2003 almost on set in Bucharest while filming 'Blessed'. He was 62, and should have stayed around to do more very good character acting as in 'Last Orders' (200). WHY DID I BUY IT? As a great fan of director Antonioni's 1967 cult film 'Blow Up', loosely based around the 'swinging sixties' and the heady lifestyles of photographers such as David Bailey in particular. I quite like Hemmings as an actor: and he was very beautiful when young in a Terence Stamp kinda way - they were often rivals for the same film roles, although they apparently never met. Advantages: The whole novel?
Disadvantages: Perhaps its going to be a year for the last book :-(

...The Crow is the third in a quartet (the forth hasn't been published yet), called the Books of Pellinor, but the high standard of writing and entertainment has continued. I have already wrote a review on The Riddle (the 2nd book...hmmm, maybe i should review the first....) which was the story of Maerad and Cadvan. This novel, however, deals soley with Hem and Saliman and their part of the story. For those who haven't read any of the amazing Alison Croggon books, heres a really brief summary: Maerad is a slave in a mountain town when she sees Cadvan, a bard, which is no mean feat as he is invisible at the time. Maerad escapes with him, and Cadvan teaches her about the world they live in: what Bards are (magical people who can talk to animals, heal, create spells...oh, and sing), and the history of the Bards....Which ties in nicely... Advantages: Very short, Uses humorous metephors for everyday events, Life changing

...and Scurry, and two little people Hem and Haw. The point of the charaters is that mice are meant to be dumb, simple creatures, who do what they need to do, whereas Hem and Haw represent the complexities of being human. The story basically details how the four characters go in search of cheese in a maze and eventually find some at cheese station C. All is well for quite some time but then Sniff and Scurry notice that the supply is starting to dwindle. They therefore get out into the maze and go in search of cheese elsewhere. Hem and haw basically sit around hemming and hawwing long after the cheese has disappeared. Haw eventually realises that he must go in search elsewhere and unfortunately, we lose Hem altogether. The discussion sees us return to the reunion group later on in the same day. They have decided to meet up again to discuss the story... Read review
