Advantages: Good value Disadvantages: If your not studying it may be boring!!
...Recently I was in my local WHSmith and I was able to pick up this book for the bargain price of £0.50. And after looking at it I would even say that it is worth the RRP of just £7.99 especially if used as a study aid for university.
The book quite self explanitary contains all the phrases and terms that any student of politics will ever come across. And it is complied by DavidRobertson who studdied at both Oxford and Essex universities and became a lecturer of politics at St Hugh's College, Oxford.
There isn't much more that I can say about this book, but it I certainly hope that it will help me get through my degree at University....

Advantages: Exposes social prejudices Disadvantages: Highly vulgar with obscene language and graphic detail
...Filth is hounded by the narrow minded view that is disgusting, cheap porn disguised as a novel. In fact the microscope that Welsh turns on the Edinburgh society is just too real for most people who hold that opinion. Focussing on the repulsive main character, Bruce Robertson, Welsh takes the reader into situations incorporating drugs, sex and bestiality with humour and captivating writing stlye. The mental disintergration of Robertson is fascinatingly portrayed, moving the readers feelings from revulsion and hate to sympathy and emotional engagement. Never mind the filth this is reality....

Advantages: Hilarious situations and the corruptness is oddly true! Disadvantages: i was actually sick once! I'll leave you to figure out where!
...I refuse to bore you with a load of verbal diorreah on how this book is dusguisting and blah blah blah!!! Welsh is wonderful in his graphic writing and describes modern day society most accurately, with the use of his character, Bruce Robertson, a Detective in Edinburgh.
Welsh takes his reader through a series of absoloutely revolting, but hilarious events in Robertson's life, ranging from constant masturbation, to drugs and Hookers in Amsterdam. Yes, is the answer to the question i hear you asking, this guy is a policeman!!!
The most hilarious happening in the book to me is when, at an office party, all the man photocopy thier penis's. Robertson cunningly enlarges his and attracts some very welcome sexual tension from the woman he wants to bed!!!
If you want a good book to snuggle up to bed with, then try Roald Dahl, i heard he...
