The Dazzle Video CreatorDVC 130 is a cool piece of kit which basically records your videos from a camcorder, VCR or any other video equipment with analogue outputs. That's the reason I bought this and its easy to use.
When recording videos from your camcorder it uses hardware encoding for high quality MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 files without using your computer's CPU. This enables encoding to be simple and quick. You can either transfer videos straight from tape to DVD or use Studio QuickStart which is the software included, to trim and enhance movies before burning them to DVD or uploading them onto the internet.
The actual unit is small about hand size and can be placed easily by the side of your PC if you use it regularly. Otherwise its easy to disconnect and connect back again as its Plug and play and connected via USB.
Main functions: - Quick to connect via USB -Simple to use capturing from almost any video source with full DVD quality. - Easy to archive as you record videos directly to DVD's without copying to your PC hard drive first, saving time and space - Fun to use software which enables you to add menu's and chapters to your DVD's - Easy edit software enables you to cut your videos, add effects, stills, titles, and background music to your DVD's.
Minnimum system requirements: Windows XP, Intel or AMD 1.4GHz, 512Mb RAM, 1Gb hard drive space, DVD burner
What you get in the box: - Dazzle DVC 130 USB video capture device with MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 compression hardware - Pinnacle Instant DVD Recorder software - Pinnacle Studio QuickStart software - Quick Installation and Getting Started guides
Overall the Dazzle Video Creator DVC 130 is an easy to use and powerful piece of kit which anyone can use. You don't have to be a video editor to use this as it can simply be used to edit family holiday or party videos which you have filmed, making them look advanced and more professional. I've even used this for editing videos for my friends and family. It makes the videos look so much better depending on how you choose to edit them. Usually they would look dull and boring. Let out the Steven Spielberg within you. The DVC 130 cost me around £50.
