Advantages: WILL SAVE YOU MONEY!!! Disadvantages: COST!!!
built into the controller. So microsoft came up with the idea of... NUCLEAR POWER CONTROLLERS. But then they probably realised this would be to dangerous and powerful so they just settled for double "A" batterys.
: )
The batterys will last for around 12 - 20 continuous hours depending on the type you use, but changing batterys almost every day gets very annoying, and expensive. If you have rechargable batterys you will save money instead of always throwing batterys way but why wait for batterys to recharge?
Microsoft then came up with the idea of the batterypack. On a full charge it will last around 24 hours of gaming and can be on charge while in use! It will add a small amound of extra weight to the controller but not so that you would notice. This is all good! you can now have a charging pack so you no longer need to buy batterys ...
Advantages: easy to use, great value for money, can be used during gameplay, USB connection Disadvantages: cannot be charged from the mains
or removing it and charging it separately when the board is not in use.
The initial charge time is 2 ½ hours and after this it will require a shorter charge time. The manufacturers claim that the batterypack will last for 20 hours before it needs recharging. I wouldn't say that ours lasts that long but it does come close and we are satified with how long it lasts.
Overall we are very impressed with this bargain buy. They usually retail at around £12 but even this I think is very reasonable. Ours still works just as well as it did in July and it has saved us a lot of money that would have otherwise been spend on endless batteries. I would summarise the main advantages and disadvantages as follows:
Good Points
*Saves you A LOT of money on batteries
*USB connection allows it to take charge from the Wii console or a computer ...
Advantages: Runs on 4 AA Batteries. Gives a lot more life to iPod. Disadvantages: Bulky
I bought this a while back for a coach journey to Italy. It really is extremely handy.
The pack is quite bulky but since it runs on 4 AA batteries that is expected.
Since it runs on 4 AA batteries it is a great help unlike some other ones on the market. You don't have to charge the pack up just when its run out of power put 4 new batteries in, which could be bought from nearly everywhere.
Its connection is simple just like the computer to iPod connection but without the usb. For the price it is, it's a real steal compared to other brands and packs out there.
Some people complained that it didn?t charge the iPod but it never said it did even though I have taken this out of my iPod and my iPod battery life was from dead to full.
It does not affect any quality on the iPod at all and is a very easy to use day to day i ...
