Advantages: Oh, please have a look at the opinion and you'll see them all! Disadvantages: There's one or two niggles in there too!
?ve been used to and I didn?t want the expense of putting gas piping into the kitchen. Put like that it doesn?t seem like very much, but eventually it was a choice between a few of the DeDietrich models and I opted for this one because it seemed the simplest.
The oven fits into a standard-size oven unit from most of the suppliers of fitted kitchens. You?ll find all the dimensions in the catalogue or on the website, so I won?t bore you with them here. In simple terms the top oven will cope with a large turkey and the bottom oven happily does a meal for two people.
Due to circumstances beyond my control (otherwise known as workmen) my kitchen wasn?t ?finished? (this is a technical term meaning that it?s useable if not pretty) until Christmas Eve and the first thing my oven had to cook was the Christmas cake, rapidly followed by all ...
Advantages: Works well for the first 12-18 months... Disadvantages: ...then no warranty or service on a £700 fridge. Disgraceful.
NOTE: This is a review of the PRODUCT, not a supplier.
When our builder fitted our kitchen, we had a DeDietrich integrated (built-in) fridge freezer fitted at a cost of over £700 - a lot of money for a supposedly top-end appliance.
When it failed just over 1 year from the purchase date (less than a year after it was first turned on) we had a nigtmare getting any service from the builder, his supplier, or Brandt UK who represent the DeDietrich brand in the uk.
After writing them a nasty letter, they (Brandt UK) dedided to honour the paulty 1 year warranty, and replaced the item free of charge, however as the original model was discontinued, we waited three months for a replacement of equivalent proportions - the DRC725JE and as a result had NO FRIDGE for 3 months!
Today, less than 18 months after the replacement arrived ...
I've had the Dci100 for 5 months and 11,000 miles nowand can describe it best as something of a curate's egg. The low/mid range performance is excellent. It has the same torque as my Clio 172 Cup and better low down pulling power. I wanted a group 5 insurance car for driving tuition with decent performance for advanced/high performance driving teaching. The 100 BHP diesel seemed perfect. It's quick, very economical (53mpg during lessons, over 70 if you cruise). It'll also do 100mph easy on the trips over in Europe I have done - just come back from Nurburgring.
HOWEVER, the steering is awful. The electric rack is dreadful compared to the CUP's steering. The rear is under-damped, making it unsteady if you have to lift off in a turn -as some drivers have a tendancy to - and the reliability ain't so good. The rack makes an awful noise ...
