They bought this as well as an oven, which has also been reviewed, and they are by the same company, DeDietrich. When our builder fitted our kitchen, we had a DeDietrich integrated (built-in) fridge freezer fitted at a cost of over £700 - a lot of money for a supposedly top-end appliance.
When it failed just over 1 year from the purchase date (less than a year after it was first turned on) we had a nigtmare getting any service from the builder, his supplier, or Brandt UK who represent the DeDietrich brand in the uk.
After writing them a nasty letter, they (Brandt UK) dedided to honour the paulty 1 year warranty, and replaced the item free of charge, however as the original model was discontinued, we waited three months for a replacement of equivalent proportions - the DRC725JE and as a result had NO FRIDGE for 3 months!
Today, less than 18 months after the replacement arrived ...
