Advantages: A product you can discuss for hours and look at for days Disadvantages: Not very competitive rates of pay
Having worked for a variety of retailers over the past ten years- ranging from a well-known supermarket to a local small business- I have experienced both good employers and those to avoid. Laura Ashley Limited sits nicely in the middle, often reaching towards the "Places I Loved to Work" category.
I have been with the company for just over a year. In this time, I have been promoted from Sales Leader (supervisor) to Assistant Manager. When promotion opportunities arrive, which is quite rarely in certain areas, I have to admit, the managers are more than happy to promote within, in order to keep the knowledge gained during training. I can understand that this is a negative idea to some, but from an insider's perspective, it worked well for me!
Initially, the product knowledge required to work at Laura Ashley can be overwhelming. When ...

Advantages: Frothy, light, funny, witty, easy to read Disadvantages: A bit too shallow for some?
Mel is a likeable, unambitious twenty-something who works for a stationary company, who's life has been slightly a mess since her commitment-phobic boyfriend upped and left for America a year ago.
She lives with a dumpy recluse called Linda who she knows nothing about, and her best friend is Fran, a sarcastic man-eater aspiring actress. The two of them have a vague 'friend' called Amanda, who announces she's getting married. To Mel's old university crush, Fraser, who owns a pile of rubble (unknown to Amanda, who is busily an at home feature deal with OK), inherited from his father.
Amanda is a petite blonde PR girl, all sports cars and leather trousers. She's snobby, gorgeous and all the men love her. She also happens to be filthy rich, thanks to her father who spoils her mercilessly. It is obvious that Amanda is marrying Fraser ...
Advantages: some really great songs like mermac river and very different from competition Disadvantages: not enough tracks
Amanda Leigh the tittle name of the album is actually Mandy Moores real name.
She's not your typical Pop artist and she does not try to be.In fact in this album she tries not to have you r typical Pop sound most of the songs are acoustic with the exception of Track number three called I could break yopur heart any day of the week.I have had mixed feelings about her album and for me its been 50/50 some of it I have liked and some of the song I think will slowly Grow on me. My favorite song off the album is Merrimack River which is an acoustic song which I could listen to unlimited amount of times. It is very sad that she has not done a lot better with her albums Her album sales are not in the same league as Britney Spears or Christina Agulera. Her album is very hard to find in music stores so my advice is That you order it from amazon ...

A nice gripping and readable novel ; A terrific tale of survival ; Very atmospheric ; The characters thoughts and feelings are projected well to the reader
Suddenly stops flowing towards the middle ; King can be slightly over obsequious towards the main character (*)
Stephen King's claim to fame ; Superb atmosphere ; Sublime plot ; A vivid imagination that stretches all supernatural boundaries ; Probably responsible for some of the best horror films of the 70's and 80's
Some unessesary background in the first half ; Kubrik mucked up the story too much ; Could have been much more (*)
