    Background: I have reviewed several novels written by Donna Leon in the past few months. My manager introduced me to her work and this review is as a result of a gift from her of this book. I'm sure there should be a saying 'beware bosses bringing gifts'! I thought I should share my thoughts on this and wait to see what my manager now expects from me. About the Author: Contrary to my original thoughts Donna Leon is an American of Irish/Spanish descent.
