When I studied this for GCSE I tjought it would be boring but surprisingly it wasn't!!! Heaney is a really good author that writes good poems with real meaning.
My favourate Heaney poems are Digging, Mid term break and Follower. They all show Heaney's views on the land, stepping out and many other things. This is a good book of poems to read and it should be read or at least look at Heaney's poems in a collection of some sorts.
Many other Heaney books availiable. A good read and a good poet.
