A good fryer guaranteed to make you fat!
Review of Morphy Richards 45470 by hollypopple

Advantages: Good quality, high capacity, variable temperature
Disadvantages: Oil evaporates onto the units above it

I bought this deep fat fryer just over a year ago from Amazon.co.uk for about £50. It is a very good quality fryer with variable temperature control up to 190 degrees, and is an attractive brushed steel design. There is also an on-off button and a red indicator light which turns off when the required temperature has been reached. The basket can hold about 1.2kg of food, which is slightly more than most domestic fryers. It is very effective and cooks ...
...packs away neatly as the handle folds cleverly inside without touching the oil, so that the removable lid can cover it. You have to wait for several hours after using it before it is cool enough to put the lid back on. The main bowl lifts out for easy cleaning and the basket is dishwasher safe. The remaining parts have to be washed in the sink. The only problem I have experienced with this fryer is that you cannot use the lid while it is in use, ... Read review

No Not a Deep Fat Fryer
Review of Kenwood DF380 by hazle

Advantages: Quick and easy
Disadvantages: A bit greasy

This was a joint present for my self and hubby but I think he will use it more than I will. It has been used about 6 times, and out of those 6 I think I have used it once. I think once the novelty wears off, he won't use it as much. I know that deep fat fryers are one of the most unhealthy ways to cook things, but they are handy to have. For a start chips taste much better when cooked in a deep fat fryer, (and I don't mean from the chip shop, much ...
...home. Chips will probably be the only thing that gets cooked in it. Ok so enough about me, I will get on with the product review. Now this was a present from my mum and dad, and I think mum got the idea after I saw hers and said that must be so easy to clean. And it is so easy to clean, as it comes almost completely to bits. So what do you get? The instruction manual is very small and not a huge amount of information with it, but there really is ... Read review

Murphy Richards deep fat fryer.
Review of Morphy Richards 45061 by smcccc

Advantages: Dishwasher safe.
Disadvantages: Heavy when full.

I bought my fryer 3 years ago~ MY OPPINION~ The reason I bought this one was because it has a variable thermostat~ (switches off automatically when it reaches the right temperature)~ which makes it very safe if you forget about it while its on,~ It looks good,~ Is fully dismantable and dishwasher safe.~ It has a large 3.6 litre oil capacity which does make it heavy to lift when full if you want to store it out of sight~. It also comes with a ...
...food,~ any food you can fry you can do it with this and always with good crispy golden results. It is very easy to dimantle and has a long cord with storage to hide the cord and plug out of sight~ It's easy to use~ Easy to empty~ Uses any type of oil~ and it's also easy to clean. After I use mine, I let it cool down and then give the outside a quick wipe with a slightly damp cloth and it looks good as new. I have never had any problems and ... Read review

Have the actifry for about a week and its fantastic first thing we tried was chips i used marris piper potatoes and they were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle best chips I have had in a long time, Since then we have done pork chops, roast potatoes, vegtable still fry, home made garlic mushrooms ( a good dash of garlic powder mixed with the oil ), curried chips, sausages all off which have tasted great. Delonghi F603 Deep Fryer
Review of Delonghi F603 by adrian142

Advantages: Removable lid which is dishwasher safe
Disadvantages: Everything else

...experience. Having just purchased a Delonghi F603 deep fat fryer, believing Delonghi to be a reputable company, I am appalled by this fryer. In fact the item I have cannot really be called a fryer. It takes over 15 minutes to preheat, even then not reaching a frying temperature, merely slight bubbling, resulting in warm soggy greasy potato pieces, rather than chips. Despite turning the temperature control to maximum, and setting the timer to 30 ... Read review
