Review of Moulinex ACZ1P1 by flambards

Advantages: cooks fairly well
Disadvantages: Dodgy handle

...must be obeyed' purchased the moulinex deep fat fryer because she liked the colour (sort of a pukey yellow) Ever since we have had the fryer, the unclipable handle comes off nearly every time we take food from the frier. More often that not we get splashed with extremely hot fat. We have to make sure the children are nowhere near when using it. I keep threatening to write to moulinex and complain about it, but unless I can do it on the PC via email ... Read review

Great Kenwood Deep Fat Fryer
Review of Kenwood DF600 by pcschof

Advantages: Great Fryer - with Coolwall - very easy to clean
Disadvantages: none so far

We bought this to replace our old Delonghi fryer and we havent been disappointed yet. It holds 2 1/2 litres of oil at its maximum level and 2 litres at the minimum. The heat setting is adjustable via a roller wheel towards the bottom of the unit and this makes it very user friendly. The lid is easy to open and the basket is very easy to remove from the bowl and also very easy to put back in. The great advantage of this fryer is that it is exceptionally ...
...are completely dishwasher safe. Making this fryer very friendly to use and to keep clean. The bowl is removable which makes it so easy to clean the rest of the unit. It has an integrated filter in the lid, which is also washble. The temperature control knob is very easy to use. We paid £54 for this deep fat fryer when it was on special offer in Comet. We'd looked on the web and Comet was the cheapest we could find at the time. An excellent product ... Read review

Q: When is a professional not a professional?
Review of Russell Hobbs 10357 by sandemp

Advantages: Two fryers in one | Each can be set to separate temperature | Easy to Clean
Disadvantages: Unsafe | Unreliable | Expensive

A: When it's the Russell Hobbs 10357 I have a large family and on the rare occasions I give them chips or other fried foods, I usually find that I have to cook them in two or even three batches, as a deep fat fryer will only hold so much. One day I decided I'd had enough of this malarkey and decided to hunt on-line for something that would let me cook for the whole family in one go. What I came up with was the Russell Hobbs 10357, a deep fat fryer ...
...couldn't believe my luck and ordered it straight away, thinking at last, an answer to my prayers, or was it…….. ---The Styling--- Looking like something out of an industrial kitchen, this fryer is extremely large and measures in at approximately 34cm square, so it takes up an awful lot of room on my work surface. The majority of the unit is brushed stainless steel, with black plastic detailing, it looks very modern and as I've already said wouldn't ... Read review

==Kenwood DF520==
Review of Kenwood DF520 by travellinggardener

Advantages: Good to cook with. Easy to clean.
Disadvantages: Rather large to store.

Kenwood DF520 I have found this fryer to be an efficient addition to my kitchen. It is rather bulky so advisable to have a cupboard to store it in, for, if you are like me, it will only be used on a few occassions. It cooks well with a good range of temperatures and has a reasonable sized basket for the food to be cooked. It is rather spoilt by the viewing window becoming hard to see through once cooking has commenced as it appears to steam ... Read review

A healthy chip buttie?
Review of Tefal FZ 7000 Actifry by sandra102

Advantages: lovely healthy crispy chips
Disadvantages: expensive

The Hype Imagine being able to fry a batch of real home-made chips with just a tablespoon of olive oil. Sounds too good to be true? Place up to a kilo of freshly cut chips into the cooking pan, then measure your preferred oil with the scoop provided, pour it over, and set the timer. Patented technology circulates hot air around your fries, whilst the mixing paddle evenly disperses the oil. The result is chips that are crispy on the outside, soft ...
...more good news to come: The Actifry can also be used for cooking frozen chips, scampi, chicken drumsticks, stir-fried vegetables and lots more besides - recipe book included An odourless filter keeps your kitchen fresh, and you can check on progress through the viewing window Everything except the base can go into the dishwasher, and of course there's no oil to filter after frying. The truth I have seen this demonstrated on shopping channels ... Read review
