A safe fryer
Review of Hinari DFF140 by blannad

Advantages: Compact
Disadvantages: nothing

Here I go again and hopefully this review will help people undestand the quality of this deep fat fryer. I bought this fryer six months ago and must say that I have never looked back, this fryer is made of stainless steel and holds a capacity of 2litres of oil, there is a temperature switch which you can have on if you want to leave it while preparing your food, or you can put it to the highest tempetature for quick frying. Another aspect of this ...
...the oil and cleaning and not worring about the electrics. The lid itself is also removable, and it does not cause as much steam as your regular fryer, which I find does not steam your kitchen up and it does not create a smell of oil. It takes very little time to heat up and the food is crisp what you would expect from a good deep fryer. When wanting to store your fryer ,situated at the back is a small area for the lead to be fed into for convience. ... Read review

Delonghi Deep Fat Fryer
Review of Delonghi F 24502 CZ by jad1965

Advantages: Oil drainer, easy to keep clean
Disadvantages: Check oil tap is closed!!

I have gone through a few deep fat fryers (mainly because instead of cleaning it I just get a new one!!!) Anyway at the moment I have this one and so far I am impressed with it, even without a timer. Seems easier to keep clean somehow than the white ones. BUT don't do what I did ........... I unpacked it, rinsed it out, put it together, filled with oil and left on kitchen top for later............................ when I walked into kitchen I saw ...
...tap was off, yes all the oil had come out, all over unit and floor. SO remember to check the tap is off. But at least I know it works, and when the oil needs changing I should now manage it without having to buy a new one!!! Also makes lovely chips! ... Read review

Tefal Actifry
Review of Tefal FZ 7000 Actifry by Petebartlett

Advantages: Low fat content, No smell and very safe
Disadvantages: Things take a little longer

Have the actifry for about a week and its fantastic first thing we tried was chips i used marris piper potatoes and they were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle best chips I have had in a long time, Since then we have done pork chops, roast potatoes, vegtable still fry, home made garlic mushrooms ( a good dash of garlic powder mixed with the oil ), curried chips, sausages all off which have tasted great. The machine itself is easy to ... Read review

Delonghi F603 Deep Fryer
Review of Delonghi F603 by adrian142

Advantages: Removable lid which is dishwasher safe
Disadvantages: Everything else

...experience. Having just purchased a Delonghi F603 deep fat fryer, believing Delonghi to be a reputable company, I am appalled by this fryer. In fact the item I have cannot really be called a fryer. It takes over 15 minutes to preheat, even then not reaching a frying temperature, merely slight bubbling, resulting in warm soggy greasy potato pieces, rather than chips. Despite turning the temperature control to maximum, and setting the timer to 30 ... Read review

Delonghie Chip deep fat frier
Review of Delonghi F603 by cathousefood

Advantages: lid is removable to go in dishwasher, doesn't need that much oil
Disadvantages: does not product crispy chips no matter what potatoes or oil you use

I have always wanted a deep fat fryer for those few occasions where you really fancy chips with a meal. The Delongie F603 Chips came my way a month ago. I have now used it 5 times for chips and every time I have been horribly disappointed. I have tried different potatoes, different size chips, drying them out completely, different oils and every single result has been soggy slightly brown round the ends chips. Not only that the steam that comes from ...
...wallpaper off your kitchen ceiling. I thought the fryer must be faulty but then I tried it with scampie and the result was absolutely perfect and again tiger prawns making my own batter this time, the results again perfection. As it is called "Chips" and really that is all I wanted it for I can't see any redeeming facts. It isn't expensive and it does have all the features like removable lid for dishwasher, fairly odourless but I can not get my ... Read review
