This deep fat fryer is a good all rounder, it is a good looker,is easy to clean,and is big enough to cook for all five of us in one load. I paid £28.99 for this deep fat fryer and as I have to admit that I tend to get a new one every other year because they get that disgustingly greasy that I tend to chuck them away.That is why I try to buy cheap ones and I think this one fits in to that catagory nicely. Advantages: Can make fresh low fat chips and wedges, easy to clean
Disadvantages: Bit big so takes up room, takes quite a long time to cook, caught on fire

I love the chips and wedges (that I made with fresh organic potatoes), and so do the family. It is much cheaper to make your own, once you have bought the product, but takes a longish time to cook - up to 45 mins depending on how much you cook. One kilo of wedges take 45 minutes. Less takes a little less time. The instructions are easy to follow from the recipe book, I haven't tried any of the interesting recipes in there. I can't use wheat flour ...

Kenwood DF520 I have found this fryer to be an efficient addition to my kitchen. It is rather bulky so advisable to have a cupboard to store it in, for, if you are like me, it will only be used on a few occassions. It cooks well with a good range of temperatures and has a reasonable sized basket for the food to be cooked.
