Review of Delonghi Rotofryer Fat Fryer by sher60

Advantages: Produces brilliant results
Disadvantages: Hard to discard the oil

We have had our Rotofryer for above a year now and it is by far the best deep fryer we have ever owned. It comes with an easy to use manual but it is so simple to use, you really don't need the manual. It has a very nice durable cool wall exterior. The exterior is easy to clean, just wipe off with a damp cloth. I feel safe using the handle to lift and lower the basket as it is very sturdy. The basket rotates at just the right speed to fry everything ...
...for our Rotofryer and it has been worth every penny, so I give it very high marks for value for money. The only draw-back to this model is it is hard and messy to discard the oil when you want to change the oil. On the whole, though, it is brilliant and I highly recommend the Rotofryer. ... Tefal Acti Fry
Review of Tefal FZ 7000 Actifry by bullyfome

Advantages: use little oil
Disadvantages: easy to break no repair

I bought this to cook chips but it takes to long 35-40 mins but they are not worth the wait to dried up . It does chicken wings great in 30 mins it also does have a recipe book some of them work others do not. The let downs of the fryer are the plastic clear lid the clips that keep lid closed are made of the same thin polycarbonate and after a little time the become brittle and break off so you can not keep the lid down. Tefal Actifry caught fire on 5th use.
Review of Tefal FZ 7000 Actifry by Ishouldbesolucky

Advantages: Can make fresh low fat chips and wedges, easy to clean
Disadvantages: Bit big so takes up room, takes quite a long time to cook, caught on fire

I love the chips and wedges (that I made with fresh organic potatoes), and so do the family. It is much cheaper to make your own, once you have bought the product, but takes a longish time to cook - up to 45 mins depending on how much you cook. One kilo of wedges take 45 minutes. Less takes a little less time. The instructions are easy to follow from the recipe book, I haven't tried any of the interesting recipes in there. I can't use wheat flour ...
...two tablespoons of oil, and I added spices as per recipe but my own choice of spices. The actifry is easy to dismantle and clean in the dishwasher and it doesn't smell much when cooking. However after just 5 uses my actifry caught on fire and it is really lucky I noticed this right away or it could have been very serious, so it is going back to the retailer. I unplugged it and shut the lid and it went out, but produced a lot of chemical/plastic ... Read review

==Kenwood DF520==
Review of Kenwood DF520 by travellinggardener

Advantages: Good to cook with. Easy to clean.
Disadvantages: Rather large to store.

Kenwood DF520 I have found this fryer to be an efficient addition to my kitchen. It is rather bulky so advisable to have a cupboard to store it in, for, if you are like me, it will only be used on a few occassions. It cooks well with a good range of temperatures and has a reasonable sized basket for the food to be cooked. It is rather spoilt by the viewing window becoming hard to see through once cooking has commenced as it appears to steam ... Read review
