Anyone want some chips...?
Review of Tefal FA700415 Family Oleoclean Fryer by shaheena

Advantages: Very easy to clean
Disadvantages: temperatures go abit funny....?

The Tefal FA700415 Family Oleoclean Fryer is really such a great product, I have one at home, and I received it as a wedding present by one of my relatives. When I found out it was a deep fat fryer, I was thinking they must be having a laugh, did they want me to become fat or something but actually the fryer wasn’t so bad. Well what I can say about the deep fat fryer from my first experiences after using it to deep fry my frozen chips and fish fingers ...
...some useful facts about the Tefal FA700415 Family Oleoclean Fryer which are: Family 1kg food capacity and 2.2L oil capacity – This is a food size, enough to cook for loads of people in one go. * Cordless design – tie up loose wire, which I good for safety reasons. * Hands-free oil filtering – the machine does it for you so that I just superb. * Comes with oil filtering storage pot – very useful and can keep excess oil in it. * Digital timer ... Deep-fried Chicken tonight!!
Review of Tefal 3621615 PRI by fun2night4us

Advantages: Do not have to keep draining oil after each use
Disadvantages: Takes up alot of countertop space

The Tefal Prissima has been n a life saver for my daily life. Since I do not work and my fiance does, it is sort of a nonspkoken agreement that I would do most of the cooking until I am able to get a job. One of the most important parts of the kitchen for me is to have something to deepfry in. That along with a George Foreman grill. Well since we had nothing to deep fry in I felt out of place, almost did not know how to cook some things without it. ...
...range I decided upon the Tefal Prissima. Before I go on about this particular Deep Fryer let me give a little bit of Tefals details. This information was found while I was doing some research, at the Tefal homepage before buying the "right" deep fryer for me. Tefal which is a combination of the words Teflon and Aluminum was first invented in 1954 by the French engineer Marc Gregoire, although the Tefal company was not founded until 1956. At this ... Chips
Review of Tefal 6101.84 by WendyTaylor

Advantages:
Disadvantages:

Tefal Maxi Classic Deep Fat Frier My Mum bought me my Deep fat frier for christmas, she was sick of worrying that I’d have an accident with my stove top chip pan. (God...do you still remember those?). I had actually asked for one and was pleased with my present. GOOD POINTS: Easy to use... Plug it in, wait for the light to go out, lower the basket Charcoal filter in the lid...Controls smells, can be bought by mail order from Tefal when needed ...
...chips, you can do loads in one go NOT SO GOOD POINTS No “rise and fall” basket...you lower the basket into the fat using the little handle supplied Not easy to clean...you have to pick it up to empty it No thermostatic control...it’s either hot or it’s not As far as a pressie goes, I was well chuffed but if I’d had a bit more money I’d certainly go for something with a few more features. ... Tefal Actifry caught fire on 5th use.
Review of Tefal FZ 7000 Actifry by Ishouldbesolucky

Advantages: Can make fresh low fat chips and wedges, easy to clean
Disadvantages: Bit big so takes up room, takes quite a long time to cook, caught on fire

I love the chips and wedges (that I made with fresh organic potatoes), and so do the family. It is much cheaper to make your own, once you have bought the product, but takes a longish time to cook - up to 45 mins depending on how much you cook. One kilo of wedges take 45 minutes. Less takes a little less time. The instructions are easy to follow from the recipe book, I haven't tried any of the interesting recipes in there. I can't use wheat flour ...
...two tablespoons of oil, and I added spices as per recipe but my own choice of spices. The actifry is easy to dismantle and clean in the dishwasher and it doesn't smell much when cooking. However after just 5 uses my actifry caught on fire and it is really lucky I noticed this right away or it could have been very serious, so it is going back to the retailer. I unplugged it and shut the lid and it went out, but produced a lot of chemical/plastic ... Read review
