Tefal Actifry
Review of Tefal FZ 7000 Actifry by Petebartlett

Advantages: Low fat content, No smell and very safe
Disadvantages: Things take a little longer

Have the actifry for about a week and its fantastic first thing we tried was chips i used marris piper potatoes and they were crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle best chips I have had in a long time, Since then we have done pork chops, roast potatoes, vegtable still fry, home made garlic mushrooms ( a good dash of garlic powder mixed with the oil ), curried chips, sausages all off which have tasted great. The machine itself is easy to ... Read review

A good fryer guaranteed to make you fat!
Review of Morphy Richards 45470 by hollypopple

Advantages: Good quality, high capacity, variable temperature
Disadvantages: Oil evaporates onto the units above it

I bought this deep fat fryer just over a year ago from Amazon.co.uk for about £50. It is a very good quality fryer with variable temperature control up to 190 degrees, and is an attractive brushed steel design. There is also an on-off button and a red indicator light which turns off when the required temperature has been reached. The basket can hold about 1.2kg of food, which is slightly more than most domestic fryers. It is very effective and cooks ...
...packs away neatly as the handle folds cleverly inside without touching the oil, so that the removable lid can cover it. You have to wait for several hours after using it before it is cool enough to put the lid back on. The main bowl lifts out for easy cleaning and the basket is dishwasher safe. The remaining parts have to be washed in the sink. The only problem I have experienced with this fryer is that you cannot use the lid while it is in use, ... Read review

Deep fat frying and no more scrubbing for hours!!!
Review of Delonghi F600 by kidpudding

Advantages: Good size, removable filter
Disadvantages: Where to store??, cleaning done frequently

...boys I have found the Delonghi F600 "chips with everything" deep fat fryer useful, if not an absolute necessity in my kitchen. It is a must for chips, as well as chicken, mushrooms, onion rings and anything else that can be fried (and usually is when used by the boys). Not only does it cut down on the smells in the kitchen but it also cooks the food in a fraction of the time. The only problem I have had is the cleaning, which has to be done quite ...
...the Delonghi range, the cleaning process is laborious as there is no outlet for the used oil. It does have a variable thermostat, which is a definite plus along with the volume of food that can be cooked. Another advantage with this fryer is that it has coolwall. There is also a changable filter which is situated on the top of the door of the fryer, just behind the viewing window, which does not need a screwdrive to remove it. All in all I have ... Tefal Pro Fry Oleoclean fryer.
Review of Tefal FR 7009 PRO FRY Oleoclean by Calabrian

Advantages: Easy to use and clean.
Disadvantages: None

...and keep clean. Although the Tefal FR7009 is not the cheapest on the market, it is the best we have come across. Argos originally priced it at £99.99, but reduced it to £79.99. It comes with clear instructions and is very easy to use. Full marks to Tefal for the Automatic Oil Filtration system, which allows the oil to drain away safely in its own container housed in the base of the unit after the cooking has been completed. It takes all the guess ... Read review

No Not a Deep Fat Fryer
Review of Kenwood DF380 by hazle

Advantages: Quick and easy
Disadvantages: A bit greasy

This was a joint present for my self and hubby but I think he will use it more than I will. It has been used about 6 times, and out of those 6 I think I have used it once. I think once the novelty wears off, he won't use it as much. I know that deep fat fryers are one of the most unhealthy ways to cook things, but they are handy to have. For a start chips taste much better when cooked in a deep fat fryer, (and I don't mean from the chip shop, much ...
...home. Chips will probably be the only thing that gets cooked in it. Ok so enough about me, I will get on with the product review. Now this was a present from my mum and dad, and I think mum got the idea after I saw hers and said that must be so easy to clean. And it is so easy to clean, as it comes almost completely to bits. So what do you get? The instruction manual is very small and not a huge amount of information with it, but there really is ... Read review
