Sunday afternoon when I was growing up used to be our treat night. We would have a light tea and follow that by something sweet, which was a bit of a rarity in my house. The Sunday Sweet would vary but I remember my Mother used to buy Raspberry Ripple Ice Cream in a long cardboard packet. Funny, but you don't seem to see those cardboard packets of Ice Cream anymore its all plastic tubs these days, anyway I digress. I got up really early this morning to tend to my allotment and by the time I arrived at my tube station, I was knackered. I also had a very strange craving for tinned fruit (that may have been that I hadn’t drunk anything all morning!) Anyway, I popped into my local Tesco and tracked down the tinned fruit aisle. This is a product that I have loved since a child, it’s a lovely dessert to have, that’s reasonable healthy as well. Most people pour creamy hot custard on top, which is delightful and so tasty.
