The segments of white grapefruit in this tin were quite large but they broke fairly easily. A lot of grapefruit is stringy but this was quite ok, ... ...it or at least it did before I threw Tate & Lyle all over it!

These tinned grapefruit segments are in natural juice. The tin had 411g in (about 12 oz) and was roughly 50% juice. I would say that about a third of a tin of these segments equals one of the 5 daily portions of fruit and veg we should eat. The tin of fruit cost 67p, which is about 10p dearer than I would normally pay for a shop's "own brand" tin of grapefruit.

As for the taste, well it's quite sharp - enough to make you suck your cheeks in! I added sugar (somewhat defeating the object of this healthier option) to make the segments a little sweeter. The grapefruit has a trace of fat in it or at least it did before I threw Tate & Lyle all over it!
