...The last thing you want after the headache of choosing the right computer is to have problems with the computer. I have had experience with both a Dell and non Dell machines. Dell computers are more expensive than their competitiors but it shows when they are placed together. I have had one or two problems with my Dell - the speakers broke down twice. They were replaced with relative ease and little fuss. Compared to another cheap company which has recently delevered a computer with missing parts and just empty promises when we want it fixed. Think wisely before going for the cheapest option... Read review

Advantages: Good prices
Disadvantages: Terrible service

...We bought 2 Dell Inspiron 5000 for office use, and they are a dream to work with. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Dell's after-sales service which is indifferent to say the least! I also ordered 3 docking stations for the same machines (office and home use) and Dell required pre-payment. Unfortunately, they lost my order and my money; and the attitutde was "we have bigger customers than you". Is this just a local Dell problem (in Scandinavia) or are they the same elsewhere? The machines are well-designed, with minor design glitches that could have been avoided - but will we buy Dell again? ONLY if they manage to get their act together and begin to realise that you might be the fastest growing company in the sector - but sooner or later someone will copy and improve your concept. Wake up Dell...good products require good... Read review
