I bought my Dell Axim X30 just over 3 months ago, and I absolutely love it. I did a lot of research in order to choose this particular model, and in the end I opted for it because I could get a 624MHz processor with bluetooth, wireless and a cradle for a similar sum as a lower-spec X50. It's considerably cheaper than many similar products produced by other companies.
The only downside is the Dell customer service. It really isn't as good as it should be. It's impossible to speak to the same person twice, so if you have a query you can rarely resolve it. Dell uses foreign call centres, and there is a definite feeling that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
However despite that my PDA was delivered extremely quickly, perfectly packaged and with everything I ordered.
Another positive feature of the X30 itself is the battery life. I purchased a longlife battery to go with the standard one that came with my X30, but I don't have to use it very often. The only time I've run down the battery so far has been when I've been playing a game and had the screen lit up for a long period of time. For generally making notes or adding things to your diary etc, you hardly use any battery life. Even having Wireless enabled doesn't use that much extra juice. In fact, I'd suggest that if you're going to buy this product, don't worry about getting an extra battery.
In summary, an excellent choice for professional users. If you want a PDA to make notes, keep track of appointments and tasks, check your email etc, this is definitely the product for you.

Well I wouldn't let it put you off TOO much. Although they can be a bit frustrating at times, they ARE very good at getting the product delivered and they do try to be helpful. I would say it's a minor consideration rather than a major one.
