I evaluated the Dell Axim x3 for my workplace for various tasks such as a using it as a personal diary and installing work applications. I found it was extremely easy to use (I was a first time PDA user) and I was soon using all the features of the software it provided.
The PDA is extremely easy to use and set up. I almost didnt need a manual for reference. I did not have an SD card and so the memory on it was very limited. I would recommend buying an SD card to go with this if you are going to be storing large files on it. The large screen is very clear to view applications and can be adjusted for brightness and power saving options.
The built in WiFi (Wireless network card) was very reliable as I used it to connect to my office network. I could then view websites with the PDA which was extremely fast. It also formated each page to view on a small screen.
One disadvantage was the battery. There was no backup battery like some of the newer PDAs have incase of the 1st battery running out. The battery life I found ran out quite fast (perhaps it was because I was using Bluetooth and WifI) and this was very unreliable. I would definetely recommend buying a secondary emergency battery for this as I had my work wiped at one point but I had made a backup on my PC.
For what its priced at, its well worth the money and you will not be dissapointed with any of its features (aslong as you got that spare battery!)
