on this computer (DellXPS 700) i have Windows XP operating system on it and i like Windows XP because it supports all my old pc games like Hitman Blood Money & Battlefield! And it is a gaming computer too! It was the first DellXPSdesktop i ever got and its one of the best computers i have ever got! It came with Dell speakers and subwoofer and a 15'' monitor! The only bad thing about it is that its really big and is realy noisey!!! But apart from that it is a really good computer! Advantages: Great feature set, fast, GFX card, HDMI out Disadvantages: keyboard/touchpad could be better
I recently had a motherboard failure on my existing Dell Inspiron laptop and given its age, repair looked a bad move as one could buy a new laptop for less. Advantages: Can be customised to individual needs, good build quality, competitively priced, excellent customer support Disadvantages: Heavy, average battery life
I bought this laptop 4 months ago in June 2008 and I have been very impressed with it so far. The design is stylish and sleek and there are enough colour options to please most people. The best thing about Dell is that you can customise your laptop to your own optimum specifications so I opted for the best quality screen for watching video files and DVDs and upgraded the memory and processor to improve the performance of games. So far I have had no major problems although the charger adaptor has recently failed. However this is covered under the warranty and a replacement arrived within 2 days of calling the cutomer service hotline.
Pros:
Specifications can be customised to individual needs.
Very stylish
Excellent build quality
Easily contactable and very helpful customer support
Cons:
On the heavy side
Standard battery ...
