I bought the XPS T600 a year ago and am still very happy with it. The 20gb hard disk has room for everything and after 12 months still has 14gb of free space. The sound is excellent, a combination of the sound blaster live card and the Altec speakers with subwoofer. It makes watching DVD films a real "home" cinema experience. I bought my dell pc just over 2 months ago because of a review in a pc mag when it came out tops on the specification offered for the price. I went the whole hog and upgraded. There is still no pcs on the market today which can match the spec.
Despite that, even if they did, i have heard of too many horror stories for high street retailers like Time. There warranties do not come near the collect and return facility offered by DELL along with first ... ...machine apart possibly from the dell modem.
my dvd drive is faster and better than most I have seen. I upgraded to an 8x4x rewriter (sony and a further plethora of quality components not to mention the 192trinitron monitor. Excellent money/ excellent value / excellent quality. Where is your argument? ...

If you do happen to have a problem with a Dell all you have to do is ring up and inform them of the problem and they will try to help you sort it out on the phne, if not they will send someone out.
