...One of my friends has had this laptop for over a year and never complain about i. Del Inspiron 6000 has done quite a good job in satisfying a student like my friend.
First thing first, PROCESSEOR
There are three options of Intel Core 2 Duo for you to choose. T5300 at 1.73 GHz, T5500 at 1.66 Ghz and T7200 at 2.0 Ghz. I would highly recommend T5500 as most efficent processor at its price. Although the speed is slightly lower than the T5300, the Front Side Bus of T5500 is 667 Mhz, faster a lot than the T5500 at 533 Mhz.
RAM
Dell offers 4 options : 1 or 2 Gb of Ram at 533 or 667 Mhz. If you buy it for gaming, using with Windows Vista (Home premium or above), 2 Gb of Ram would be very useful. However, for working and studying purpose, 1 Gb is more than enough.

...of the inspiron that you know dell have got an amazingly designed laptop.
It features a Intel Core 2 Duo T5450 / 1.66 Ghz processor that runs the 1gb of installed ram inside, also this 1 gb of ram can be upgraded to a maximum of 4gb. This is great for those users who want something a little quicker, and I find that after a while your laptop becomes slower, then you may want to add an extra gb of ram I=to increase the speed and it really does work too.
It was great to see this laptop has a 160 gbharddrive, because most laptops with 1gb of ram only have 80 gb or 120 gb or harddrive.
160 gb of harddrive is more than enough for anyone really and even if you do need more storage, you could always buy an external harddrive and plug it into any 1 of the 4 hi-speed usb ports.
Forget about the 5 in 1 card readers, now you have a fantastic 8 in one card...

...spending a silly amount on a laptop. For example, you could buy a 3 gb or even 4 gb of ram laptop, however these would go over the £1500 or even £2000 mark. Whereas this laptop only costs around £500 which for 2 gb of ram is a great price.
Its doesn’t disappoint in harddrive space either, as it delivers a very impressive 160 gb of storage for all your files to be saved on. I certainly have never needed a laptop with more than 160 gb and have never even filled a laptop with over 80 gb of data before, however its always good to know you can basically put whatever you want on your laptop and the space will never run out.
The screen size of this laptop is 15.4 inches. Which is around the average, and will be ok for basic laptop needs. Its not a great size for watching movies on however, and you might find it a little small if you do like...
