Dell Inspiron 1525
Let again my target of review is popular 15.4" series laptop and I am trying to write review on Dell laptop second time.
Dell has upgraded its earlier model inspiron 1520 to inspiron 1525, and the new upgraded model has excellent latest feature as well.
Generally Dell deals with its customer online and they sell laptop online but also considering retail chain so that they can easily reach to every general people also.
Due to online sell, they provide good range of feature for customization, and we can choose good features and technology for our requirements.
Now I am going to discuss some good features of Inspiron 1525 and option of customization as well.
Processor
Processor is a mind of any laptop or Personal computer, so that my first target of discuss will always remain the processor of any computer and laptop.
Inspiron 1525 have good double core processor for better performance that is Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo Processor T5750.
T5750 is low range popular processor it has clock speed of 2.0 GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, and front side bus is 667 MHz FSB.
So that for general use it it good processor and can provide satisfactory performance as well
Now we have some option to upgrade our processor, but we have to pay more for that.
Now have a look that what can we get by upgrading of processor..
T8100, This processor is I think more enough for every application in laptop.
The clock speed of T8100 is 2.1 GHz, 3MB L2 Cache, and front side bus is 800 MHz FSB.
T8300, the another higher option is T83oo processor it has clock speed of 2.4GHz, 3MB L2 Cache, and its front side bus speed is 800 MHz FSB.
So that as considering processor it has good range of selection available.
Memory
Inspiron 1525 provide 2GB(2x1024MB) Dual-channel 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM, and we have another option to upgrade this capacity to 3GB or 4GB.
2GB memory is adequate for laptop and general purpose, more memory remain always un usable and I think we need not to go for higher memory, we should consider Graphics card as higher purpose I will discuss it further.
Display
It has popular series display of 15.4".
Chipset
Here again popular chipset for Windows Vista they have provided is Intel® 965GM Chipset.
This set is good enough for aero experience of Windows Vista.

Operating System
This laptop have Genuine Windows Vista® Home Basic, Home basic does not have Aero experience, so that u can also upgrade this version of Vista to higher version like Premium or Ultimate.
But I think that will be wastage of money Basic version is more enough.
Hard Drive
Hard drive option is again main point of consideration, and with this laptop is has 160GB 25400RPM SATA Hard Drive.
But we have further option to upgrade it to 250Gb or 320 GB.
We also have an option to upgrade it to higher speed 7200RPM version.
Graphics Card
The another main feature to consider is graphics card, and if u wants to give a more fun to ur gaming experience than u have to keep better graphics card in ur laptop or PC also.
But this model of laptop only provide traditional Intel® Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100, and also they do not have any upgradation for this.
So that if we consider as a graphics card it does not provide better graphics.
But my main target always remain graphics card…
Now a days every application and games require more graphics memory so that this laptop fail to provide better graphics.
Battery
I think every laptop maker company should consider battery as main priority also, because as traveling purpose battery backup is more important, and now if we have a look on Inspiron 1525 than there is again traditional 56 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery, and more or less the backup will never go above 2 hours as average as my experience.
So now the time is to give higher backup on laptop also, so that we never feel disappointing further.
