This was the notebook I chose before starting my first year at university and it has not disappointed. I chose this particular laptop because it was was reasonably priced and I trusted Dell products from my personal and friends' previous use. The screen is fairly large which conributes towards the ease of use of this particlular model. I have had it just under a year and I have experienced no problems whatsoever, I regularly browse the internet and have uploaded many photos but neither have slowed it down. Admitably I am not the most technically advanced person but I have found it so easy to use. It is not the lightest laptop around but this shouldn't be a problem if, as in my case it stays in one place most of the time. If however you are looking for a notebook to have on the move I would suggest searching for somthing lighter.

Advantages: Elegant look, onboard numeric keypad, fast processor, large 17 inch screen Disadvantages: Vista installed on it, weight and the touchpad that not always reacts properly
