Advantages: Hardy machine, durable, good support from dell online also. recommended Disadvantages: Poor battery, power pin loose, screen loose, both tightened up.
...Owned an Inspiron 1300 for over a year know, and Dell over all I would recommend as a hardy piece of kit. No wonder they are number one as anyone wanting a realiable and good working machine then you can do no wrong then a dell. Only a few quibbles but mainly down to 3 people using the laptop everyday, the power plug became loose meaning the screen would flicker and charging would be intermittent. The battery is on 29wh very poor 1 hour bad from dell but after all its a budget machine. The 15" screen excellent, use of the keyboard and touch mouse excellent and durable, able to take my nieces gaming bashes. Not very quick as its a budget machine but adequate and with Wi-fi excellent. No bluetooth but a cheap dongle can sort that out....

Advantages: small easy put away Disadvantages: keys would sometimes come off easy
...I had a dellinspiron 1300 for about 6 month and i loved it. Never had any problems at all. I found this computer to be light, fast and very reliable.
If your thinking of gettting one of these i highly recommend it because its small stylish and can easiely be put away in small spaces so its not hanging about in your way when cleaning.
I also used to go away quite a lot and would find the laptop very easy to carry and the software i had for my wireless was really easy to connect to any other wireless access point as long as you knew the wep key
The hard drive on these is also ok because i used to store quite a lot of programs and files on there. I was really upset about selling this computer but had to due to finace difficultys. As soon as ive got the money i will be going straight to dell.co.uk for one...

It is clear that the new model comes with an advanced specification and is certainly more influential than its' predecessor. The new model is considerably lighter, and also includes a range of upgraded components. In ways of sticking with it's entertainment category the 6400's 15.4-inch widescreen display comes in WXGA or WSXGA+ native resolutions. The 6400 model also includes Dell's mediadirect feature...

I for one, absolutely love the look of this acer. The bottom of the laptop just looks really cool, and the top looks ok too. One only criticism on the look, would be that the plastic at the tip of the screen is a little thick, but then again it does have more
I bought mine on ebay for £360, I needed it for university study and it's working really well for small documents like word and excel and it will also play some games well, mainly Unreal Tournament online :-)
The disk space of 60GB is plenty for me.... more
