I'm a keen enthusiastic of DELL laptops, although you always get the majority who always criticise DELL. Clearly, they are either computer illiterate or haven't a clue what DELL actually do. The DELL Inspiron is a fantastic laptop, they always manufacture laptop specifications to you're needs, and are for value for money. Every DELL computer I've had, I've always had a great experience and never no technical issues.
I purchased the DELL Inspiron 6400 a few months back, after my previous laptop lacked specification and had all the upgrades possible. I therefore decided to invest in the DELL Inspiron as it was necessary for college work, studying, and for general use. After being enticed by an advert on AOL, I decided to check out the offers they had currently on the DELL Inspiron, knowing previous what the DELL Inspiron 6400's are capable of, and how appealing they are after setting up two of these laptops for a form tutor back in secondary school, I was taken my lust by the laptop, it's chrome/silver finish, widescreen crystal clear TFT screen it just had a WOW factor.
After customizing the specification to my need "Intel Core Duo 1.6GHz Processor, 1GB of DDR RAM, DVD-RW, Windows Vista Ultimate, Wifi, 256MB NVidia Graphics and 100GB Hard Drive", for £689. Although I'd added some extra settings, it was sure going to be up-to date for a few years, and the ideal aspect of DELL laptops and computers are they are easily upgradeable. After placing the order, the technician from DELL even phoned me up confirming the order, ensuring me that it would be with me promptly. Extra aftercare during the ordering process is idea, and gives you a welcome incentive that you've ordered a laptop with a company who care about their customers.
The Laptop arrived promptly, and was working within seconds of setup. Their was no necessary need to look at the manual, or instructions as it was ready to go. Just a quick setup to fill in some details to activate Windows, and I was ready. After installing some software, I had a slight problem with the DVD-RW, this was due to the software "Pinnacle Studio" overwriting the existing driver for the device, however I phoned up DELL and they troubleshooted over the phone, even ensuring me that they would send out a replacement DVD-RW, however this was not necessary as I resolved the problem promptly and efficiently.
The DELL Inspiron 6400 is a stylish laptop for everyone, it's wide-screen crystal clear screen is vibrant and bright, the battery is every lasting even after continuous use. Some nice touches to the laptop would have to be the Media Buttons at the front that light up Blue, very stylish in the dark when you're stumbling to either change the volume, or stop/play music in the dark. Another great touch is the build in 7 in 1 card reader, ideal if you want to quickly transfer some photos to you're computer without attaching the USB cable. I highly recommend this laptop to everyone, not only because it's great customisation and benefits, but because of the company caring for it's customers providing after support 24/7. It's no doubt that DELL computers are Infact the best manufacturers for Laptops and Computers. Obviously, tastes vary.
