Advantages Advantages Simple, well performing, good value

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Scratches quite easily

The Dell Latitude E6400 si not mine via choice. It is currrently the laptop that my office have provided me for use when working away or out of the office. I work as an engineer so it is important that I can use Microsoft office, access the internet to use a remote desktop linking my computer to the central drives sitting somehwere in a building in London , run some engineering design programs and use the laptop for a bit of entertainment when I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere on a site or holed up killing time in a hotel (minds out of the gutter please...by entertainment I mean DVDs and ... more

    Advantages Advantages Lightwieght. Large screen.

Disadvantages Disadvantages None found as of yet.

Having used the laptop for 3 weeks now, i have found it to be absolutely brilliant. I have had no issues whatsoever. The Centrino 2 works really well, the CPU speed if brilliant. So far the windows vista has worked really well. There are 4 USB sockets, including a DisplayPort Output, and with 2 different styles of mouse cotrols on the keypad ( Trackpad, and fingerprint reader), it suit any of my need at any given time. Some stats of the Latitude are, 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400, 2GB DDR2 RAM, 160GB hard drive, of which i have only used up 1/4 with my massive files. It has lots of carefully ... more

Advantages Advantages Fast and very portable

    Disadvantages Disadvantages No webcam

I think this is a great laptop as it is very fast and reliable. In my opinion it has improved a lot from provious dells(especially its sleek style). I have installed Windows 7 into mine and it runs perfect, all the drivers are available and I've even activated all my wireless 3G Mobile broadband drivers into it within a minute. The other great thing that has changed is that it no longer is so heavy and now is very easy to carry around. I think the only feature it could have is a webcam as in my opinion in nowadays it is quite an important feature for all laptops. From my point of view it is a ... more

Advantages Advantages Very Rugged, long battery life (about 6 hours), bright screen, water and sand resistant

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sometimes loud, a little slow, big/heavy

I use this computer everyday and know it is great. It is rugged and I can take it everywhere. I use it outside and in the rain. The battery life is great (about 6 hours) and it is fairly portable, but a little clunky. It is a little loud. It can easily be thrown around a little with no worry. The screen is bright and easy to see, the keyboard is easy to use and backlit, the touchpad is fairly responsive, but not the best, the internal speaker could use improvement, and the overall construction is great. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a computer that they need to be able to ... more
