At £1500 the Latitude LS 500 is an excellent business PC. Mine comes with an Intel Pentium 111 500MHz processor and 64MB 100MHz SDRAM. There is an integrated 56kbps modem with ethernet for networking capability. Windows 2000 is included and you can swap between the 3.5” Floppy and a 24x CD-ROM drive. The display is a shade over 12”. Newer versions are now available in a trendy magnesium alloy finish to match the wheels on the salesman’s Mondeo.
OK - now in English for the technophobes - In use the Notebook boots up very quickly and has proved to be very reliable. If you don’t have chance (or the space) to connect the mouse then you can use either the flat pad at the front by running your finger over it or there is a twiddly purple nipple thing near to GB and H which also moves the pointy thing about. Tapping the same flat pad also means enter or execute depending what you have put the pointy thing on. The software to write Ciao reports called Word is in there as is the one called Excel which does all your sums and keeps a record of your figures for you. There is also Outlook so you can send people letters without troubling the Post Office. Just like a big computer it also connects to the internet so you can keep up to date with all my reviews in Ciao.
Seriously though the Dell Latitude series are excellent notebook PCs. Very stylish and easy to use they are an excellent choice.

(+) positive aspects include the speed, apperance/design of the laptop, and the enhanced performance. (-) i have a matt black laptop and it shows dirty finger prints.
Good opinion, I think even complete technophobes would follow that one. I've used Dell Latitudes on many occasions and have always found them excellent. Regards, Alex Slater, Content Manager.
