If we only look to the printing part of the Dell Photo All-in-one Printer 924, I would say it is a very good product. It has a good output quality, the most normal fonts like arial, times new roman and others are easily readable and it is very good for printing graphics. There is also an easy to use scanner, which you can handle in only a matter of seconds. That is why I can assure you that it is one of the best AIO in its price class, only 83 $.
On the other hand, if we look at the All-in-One functions, it doesn't really have anything special. For example: It doesn't have a automatic document feeder (ADF), which comes in handy sometimes. Since it is easy connectable to your home computer by USB 2.0 and it has the ability to directly print from a PictBridge Camera, I would say it's an ideal printer for light-duty use at home.
My Lexmark All-in-One suddenly died and I quickly needed a new machine.
It was a good deal which tempted me to buy the The Dell Photo 924... reasonably priced with 2 full (non-trial) ink cartridges thrown in. Circa 2 years later the Dell Photo 924 has always proved reliable and still is running perfectly - although cartridge replacements costs are never pleasant.
Good scanner, high quality print, reliable machine.
I use it for only important documents only where I need the printing quality to be excellent, whilst keeping a trusty Cannon (£1 cartridges) for the heavy everyday work. The Dell Photo 924 has proved a very good buy.

Advantages: cheap, good quality photos, easy to use Disadvantages: slow, not good for printing in bulk
This is the second printer i have bought and i have found that this printer is suitable for beginners.
I paid £40 for it and i would say it is worth it and the ink cartridges are quite cheap - around £10. The software is easy to use and getting started only took me a few minutes. The cartridges are easy to change and it warns you well before you run out of ink. The printer is compact so fits under small desktops - Approx 30cm long x 50cm wide 15cm ... ...perfect for printing photos and the scanner has good picture quality aswell. the picture studio allows you to display, edit and convert your photos into other images.
You do not have to connect it to a computer for photo-copying or to print photos from a digital camera suing USB cable.
Although good quality it is very slow so would not be suitable for business purposes or bulk printing.
you also have the option to send faxes but i have not tried ...

...of my second year of university. Due to numerous problems with the laptop I had bought only 2 years previously, I decided it was time to go desktop! For a total of £498.74, I got this computer along with Dell A225 Speakers, a Dell USB wheel mouse, a Dell USB quietkey keyboard and a DellPhoto924All-In-Oneprinter. After the problems with my laptop, I opted to upgrade my guarantee to a 3 year collect and return service for a further £60, but this has not need to be used yet.
The computer arrived quickly after ordering, and was very easy to set up. What impressed my most about it initially was the speed-it did everything I wanted it to almost before I wanted to do it! Obviously this has slowed slightly over time, but nearly 7 months down the line, it still boots up quickly, opens files and programs quickly and is yet to crash. I am also...
