Intro: I only review things I like and I like this lots and lots (my mother said if you cant say any thing nice don’t say it at all). Dell quality, quality Dell the word are interchangeable if you want a reliable computer the get a Dell. The Precision range is a high-end workstation system for computer-aided design, digital content creation, geographic information systems, computer animation, software development and financial market analysis. The thing to remember it’s not a desktop it’s a workstation hence the high costs.
It’s very hard reviewing an entire series. There cannot be may people out there with four of the five desktop systems available run within the department is I have. So I can only give you a general feel for the range I will try to use the 350 Workstation is at slandered. The computer I am typing this on now.
Cost: The series starts with the 340 from about £740 up to £3300 for a high end 650. There's a bit of a range as you can see. The system I personally use is the 350 at a cost of £1500. I use it for programming websites databases and things like that so needed the power. But with Dell’s configure and buy system you should be able to fine some thing to meet you needs.
Options 350 Workstation: There is a large range of option depending on you specifications for the 350 you get a very nice mini-tower with lots of free slots. 14X AGP slots, 4 PCI slots, 1 Ethernet, 1 parallel, 2 serial, 8 USB 2.0 two of wich are in the front, the Pentium 4 CPU and Open GLgraphics card. What's this mean well is a high-end machine.
Reliability: I work for a university who are very good at atmospherics we run computer models of how the atmosphere works. This is one of the most demanding things you can ask a computer to do. It uses the computers memory and CPU at full capacity for day on end. For servers we use the Dell Precision 550 and for workstations we use the 350. We have nine servers and over thirty desktops from dell some now three years old. With the exception of one very bad machine not one thing has gone wrong at all.
Customer Service: Is we have one very bad machine I can also say that the customer service is NOW top-notch. I know people who have used then in the past on this web site have had problems. I had no problems in getting the computer fixed last week it was so simple. One of the reasons may be they NOW use different engineers. They use Unisys engineers to fix any faults and there are some of the best in the business. I cant remember who they where before but they where C*** I know I sound a bit keen but I promise you if you have that bit of extra money for a Dell Precision you will not look back. All the other good computer manufacturers I know of have gone out of business now e.g. Dan, Gateway 2000 I hope the same dose not happen to Dell.

Hovered between VH and H on this. Eager to encourage you and repay your trust, but I think in all honesty you should be giving the ops a little more time and thought. Perhaps giving the paragraphs sub-heading for example: technical; usability; reliability; cost; whatever - you'll know better that I what's appropriate, but it would help the reader and probably help you organise your thoughts. Talking of which, there really should be something about price here. You put cost as a disadvantage, and a PC is a bit outlay for most people, so they'd really want to know more about that side of things. All the best, D
