This laptop is really good. however I have owned mine for just under a year now and the battery has broken so I need to get it fixed which is very annoying. Apart from the battery breaking I think that the laptop is great and I would buy a Delllaptop again. I use my laptop everyday but i would have expected the batttery to last longer, especially seeing as it is dell. Now I have the hassel of getting the battery fixed. I would still reccomend this delllaptop to other people as it is good value for money and looks nice etc and apart from the battery the laptop is easy to use and I haven't had any other problems with it. Dell is usually a reliable service and hopefully it wont be too bad having to get the battery fix, if not then I can buy a new battery. ...

The Dell Inspiron 1545 is an easy to use entry level laptop. Unlike two years ago when I bought my previous laptop, you can now get a number of Dell computers (of which this is one) direct from high street retailers. This is good if you want it in a rush and want a nearby place to handle any issues, but has the disadvantage that you can't customise your laptop to your own requirements to the same extent that you can if you buy it direct from Dell (which takes several weeks).
Because Dell are so good at allowing customisation, you need to be very careful when you buy that you actually get the one you need - they are not all the same, so you can't just go into a shop and say "Give me your Inspiron 1545" - you need to be sure that it e.g. has a suitable processor, enough memory and a big enough hard drive for your needs. The Dell Inspiron is a great looking laptop, with its stylish design it provides great features which you would from a standard laptop. With powerful features such as the 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 processor its great value for money.
Great for watching dvds with integrated graphic card you can supply as an add on.
Comes with an instruction manual which is easy to follow if you do happen to get stuck but the Dell Inspiron is very easy to use.
The only downside would be watching dvds the battery life is poor and becomes drained quite quickly. Most laptops of today come with a built in web cam, after the effort Dell have made making this laptop a great piece of equipment i was quite displeased they didn't finish off such a great product with a web cam.
