You know that in this series laptop, Apple MacBook have good share of satisfaction in consumer market, for its class of graphics and quality. MacBook is old brand of Apple sometimes of five years old, and MacBook keeps going on its emperor by upgrading its model time to time.
Other than Apple Dell also have some good models in 15'4" series and after its success of XPS series they have launched new studio series brand in 15.4" category and 17" category.
I will discuss here Dell Studio 15, its design its quality, features and disadvantages as well. .. Dell Studio 15, comes in two deferent types, one is general edition and other-one is special art edition, and both models are available in seven deferent colors, you can chose your favorite color and make some extra fun in your life. There are some different in functions and price! Dell provide basic configuration on both of models, but we can upgrade it as according to our requirements and than we can order it.

Operating System Dell provides Windows Vista Home premium 32 Bit operating system with service pack 1. There is further option to upgrade this as ultimate version, but I think that will be bit costlier, premium version is more enough.
Processor Over clocking is a man problem in laptops, Intel has done better work toward improving this problem and now it is better. Studio 15 have Intel Core2 Duo processor in both of models, General edition has Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T5850 processor with clock speed of 2.16 GHz, L2 Cache is 2MB, and front side bus size is 667 MHz . We have option to upgrade it in Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T8100 processor with clock speed of 2.1 GHz, L2 Cache is 3MB, and front side bus size is 800 MHz .
• Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T8100 processor with clock speed of 2.1 GHz, L2 Cache is 3MB, and front side bus size is 800 MHz .
• Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T8300 processor with clock speed of 2.4 GHz, L2 Cache is 3MB, and front side bus size is 800 MHz .
• Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9300 processor with clock speed of 2.5GHz, L2 Cache is 6MB, and front side bus size is 800 MHz .
• Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T9300 processor with clock speed of5 2.56GHz, L2 Cache is 6MB, and front side bus size is 800 MHz .
But for Higher processor we have to pay more… it may be some costliest. I think 2.5 GHz processor means T9300 will be the best, and you can use laptop smoothly with it without any trouble, but there may be some technical problem that doesn't matter, it will be best choice
Memory
Memory Provided with both model are same as… 3GB Dual-channel (2GBx1 and 1GBx1) 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM, 3 Gb memory is enough to run any programme, for further assistant to run heavy software u should use better graphics card. You have another option to upgrade memory to 4GB(2GBx2).
Chipset Studio 15 contain Intel 965 GM chipset, bit older but good as for windows vista.
Hard Disk Drive..
Sometimes two years ago when 80 GB hard disk was more enough in laptops and even in PC also, due to high cost and less requirements people couldn't afford high capacity disk, but now condition has changed and 250GB hard disk is more familiar bur in PC there is 500GB is normal. Dell has given 250GB in both of model, just enough, but there is up-gradation available to 320GB. But that will bi bit costlier, I will suggest you to keep one extra portable hard disk, that can provide higher data transfer and will be cheap also. Now a days is time for Solid State Drive and flash drive, that gives better security for data but they are costly so that as a new technology…that will be some costly as well as low capacity also, so that wait for price go down.
Graphics Card I always consider graphics card with most priority in laptops because now a days the time is computer graphics, and games. So that they require more graphics memory to run smoothly and easily.. So that it is more important.. These two models vary according to graphics card, general one have 'Intel Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator X3100' which is more common in all other laptops and some older one.. But other art model has some improved graphics '256 MBATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450' and will be better for games.
And other feature which are most common like DVD RW, Bluetooth, card reader, speakers etc But one thing I have to mention here that Art Model has finger reader built in it but other one does not contain this.
Battery Both models have 56 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery, that is bit older and familiar, but it cannot provide long term back-up, you can upgrade it to 9 cell battery
Conclusion.. Overall this laptop is better for general purpose but for graphics purpose like 3D modeling in Maya, 3ds max, AutoCAD and some higher gaming purpose it will not provide better graphics so that if you are thinking for 3Dmodeling purpose than look for high graphics option, and you want for general office and home purpose it will be better option for you.. Recommended…

...about the machine was that Dell allow you to customise pretty much every aspect when you order online. I was able to maximise both the hard drive size (300Gb) and the RAM (4Gb) as I consider these to be essential for me. I also ordered the larger battery pack which, although it makes the machine heavier, does give me 5 hours of battery life for lighter tasks and doubles as a heat sink by raising the machine up and allowing air to flow underneath ... ...getting very hot. Dell were pretty good at helping me out here. They spent a lot of time on the phone with me and, when that didn't work, they had someone come and collect it for a free fan replacement. Eventually, as that didn't solve the problem, they sent someone to replace the motherboard. In the end, the problem turned out to be Vista and a Service Pack 1 update has solved all my problems. So, the machine was not to blame but I share this because ...

The Dell Studio 15 was my first ever laptop. I've had a desktop for around 15 years now and have always stuck with them. To me, they are half the price of laptops for double the features - so why on earth should I upgrade? This all changed when my desktop computer randomly blew up when I was away on holiday! On coming back I was initially planning on just getting the newest model of desktop, but I noticed a special deal on laptops so that it wasn't ... ...it. The whole point of Dell is that you can personalise your laptop to look and behave exactly how you want it, and this has been extended even further with the Studio range as you are able to customize the colouring of it. There are a wide range of colours and styles available for the Studio including extravagant designer patterns - but for me, I just went with a nice simple pink colour. The colour of it is very pretty, it's not obnoxiously bright ...

Dell studio 15 is a 15.4" dell laptop which has a good range of features and a handy specifications. The price of this laptop is $800 in the market which is good because of the wide range of specification and features.
Build and design:
Studio 15 is a little heaver than other notebooks in its class like the studio 17 which was a 17" laptop had less weight as compared to the studio 15. While the design of the notebook gives it the appearance that ... ...Noise and heat:
The Dell studio 15 does control heat very well. The fan blows out very hot air though when heavy applications are used but the whole laptops never get heated and the noise is very low thats the best part.
Battery Life:
On the normal mode and brightness 50% the bettery gives around 3hours 45 min of service. Which is really very good for this type of a laptop.
The dell studio 15 notebook is a solid offering 15" consumer notebook. ...

...of these machines, brought from Dell on their no payments for one year deal. This allowed us to get the machines and then shop around to get the finance, in this case we used the Virgin credit card offer of 0% for 16 months and are slowly paying it off. We should have got the whole lot for 0% by next year......so shop around and do not get Dell's HP scheme as the interest rate is huge....ouch! So back to the machines, there are five people in our ... ...and reliable machines. Dell had good finance offers; the machines looked good, the spec was so much better than the previous ones that it was an easy choice to go ahead. They were very easy to set up straight out of the box, and logged onto our wireless router with no problems, it all took less than 15 mins for each one.
So now a year on how has it been living with them? The first problem to occur was a "stuck" mouse pointer. I rang up Dell support ...

...I have always found Dell to be quick and easy to contact, should any problems arise. I also like the fact that their laptops are customisable, and so you can choose whether or not to have a webcam, more memory, etc. Excellent prices too. We have personally owned 3 Dell laptops, while I use Dell PCs at college, and can say that they are of good quality and durability. Highly recommended, would definately buy again! ...

The DellStudio 17 is a 17" Dell laptop which can be considered a desktop replacement laptop. It's market price is around $1000.
Design and Build:
In dell's overall range Dellstudio 17 fits somewhere between XPS gaming notebooks and Inspirons with a more professional look. This DellStudio 17 is very similar to Dell's studio15 but has some extra features. Its body has a colorful metallic design touches which really looks amazing. I think many users of this notebook would appreciate the number pad, fingerprint reader and the keyboard backlight which looks beautiful in absence of light. Its height is 1.2" - 1.7" which can be considered thick and the weight is 3.6 Kg which is also quite heavy for this notebook. therefore It cannot be considered as a portable laptop.
