My mum recently purchased this laptop and i must admit its fairly stylish for a mid-range laptop from Dell. It comes in a range of 7 solid colors, which include Blue , Spring Green and Ruby Red. The keyboard is black, with white, backlit keys. The keyboard is comfy to the touch and the mousepad is discreet. The design also contains very attractive, tactile touch sensitive buttons. The shape is similar to the XPS series and the base is perhaps slightly too thick. In my opinion, this is a bit of a turn of towards the design.
Features
At around £499, this laptop is good value for a mid-range Dell PC. The laptop comes with 5 USB ports, which is a good amount considering some laptop manufactures really don't put enough on their PCs. It also has a Blu-Ray drive and an HDMI output. These features, I would say are good highlights of the laptop, especially for entertainment use. The storage capacity begins at 250GB but optional hard drive upgrades are available. It comes with 3GB RAM. The software features are also staggering.
Performance
As the laptop is designed for multimedia use, the speed is fairly swift on the 2.5ghz version. The laptop has scored more than average for speed and the graphics, which is courtesy of ATI. The maximum screen brightness however, is disappointing.
