This is a great monitor. The picture quality is great and with the matt finish on the screen, reflections from the rest of the room are barely noticed. Running games in non native resolution is not a problem and still look great. The stand is strong and the adjustments for height and tilt are just right. Stiff enough to hold its postion and still easy enough to adjust by hand. With only power and brightness buttons on the front. The other adjustments to colour etc are made through the graphics card settings. Viewing angle is large with only slight contrast/brightness change at wide angles. It comes with the dual link cable needed to run the monitor.
When playing games, black-to-white ghosting can be noticable sometimes. The contrast is a little low with blackout(dark areas losing detail and showing all black) being a problem sometimes. The backlight is slightlight uneven. The price is quite high although not bad for the monitors size.
Mine came with no dead pixels but Dell has a customer satisfaction guarantee and you can return it as many times as you want.
Overall I'm glad I spent the extra money. Was plug and play, up and running in 5 mins. Large desktop for multi tasking having several programs running spread out over the screen. Massive resolution for gaming with amazing graphics. Large screen combine with a TV card replaced my TV.
