Dell XPS 1530 I always give more priority to write reviews on 15.4" series laptop, because in the market they also have more popular and more selling product. So definitely people will take more interest in these types of reviews and they also get some benefits from reviews also. So considering XPS series of laptop, these are the powerful graphics and gaming laptop. Dell wants to break the long run emperor of Apple Macbook in gaming and graphics laptop market. I think these types of competition will give good results to customers as they will get better technology and featured laptop. I will discuss here the powerful XPS laptop its good features and some disadvantages also.
The basic features
Processor XPS 1530 have a good basic processor IntelŽ CentrinoŽ Processor Technology - IntelŽ CoreTM 2 Duo Processor T8100, with clock speed of 2.1GHz, 3MB L2 Cache, and front side bus speed is 800 MHz FSB. There are three other option available to upgrade this processor to higher level and that are • Processor T8300, with clock speed of 2.4GHz, 3MB L2 Cache, and front side bus speed is 800 MHz FSB. • Processor T9300, with clock speed of 2.5GHz, 6MB L2 Cache, and front side bus speed is 800 MHz FSB. • Processor T9500, with clock speed of 2.6GHz, 6MB L2 Cache, and front side bus speed is 800 MHz FSB.
So that if we consider the processor the mind of laptop than XPS has good option to upgrade and we can get more gaming fun as well.
Memory Here sis agaim more considerable feature and that is Memory of the laptop, so this laptop also have good installed memory and upgrade option also available. The installed memory is 3GB Dual-channel667MHz DDR2 SDRAM. The Upgrade option available that 4 GB in two slot 2 GB each.
I always used to mention that 2 or 3 GB memory is more enough, and if you wants to consider better performance than give more priority to graphics card, so that better graphics is more important in better performance.
Chipset Here is the most used chipset and I always say that it am provide Aero experience of Windows Vista Premium version. Laptop has IntelŽ 965PM Chipset, and it has good features also.
Here we can get the stunning feature of Windows Vista and that is its visual Aero experience due to its premium version. The laptop has Genuine Windows VistaTM Home Premium . Keep in mind that Basic version of Vista does not provide Aero Experience, so that in this laptop u can imagine this experience. There are further option available to upgrade this premium verson to ultimate version of business verson.. But you have to pay more for that and I think this verson of Vsta is more enough to feel in 21st century experience.
Hard Drive
Here again Dell has put better capacity hard disk of 250GB 25400RPM SATA Hard Drive. And there are option of upgradation are available that is 320GB and the excellent quality 64GB solid state hard drive. Solid State drive is more reliable but due to latest technology it is expensive so that we can only get less storage capacity and have to pay more. So wait for some time to drop price and increase storage capacity, till that we can use SATA drive, having less price with higher storage capacity.
Graphics Card Here again my favourite column to write that is about graphics card and this laptop again never keep disappointing me to consider this factor. The good featured gaming graphics which is more enough to play Most Wanted like game and can provide better graphics that is 256MB NVIDIAŽ GeForceŽ 8600M GT. If we think more about above graphics card than the best gaming graphics available is 8800GT, but this laptop does not have further upgrade option for graphics, but the 8600GT is adequate and we never feel disappointing in gaming.
Battery Again the laptop has traditional 56 WHr 6-cells Lithium Ion Primary Battery, but the good news is that we can also upgrade it to 9 cell primary batter for more backup. As my experience 6 cells battery hardly gives about 2-2.5 hours of backup, but in 9 cell battery u can get up to 5 hours of backup. So that it will be better to upgrade 6 cells battery to 9 cell primary battery.

This is a VH because you obviously put a lot of effort in, but it's a bit heavy on technical spec and light on what you thought. Might flow better if you write consistently in the 1st person and perhaps try to make it a bit less formal. xx
