I bought this laptop 4 months ago in June 2008 and I have been very impressed with it so far. The design is stylish and sleek and there are enough colour options to please most people. The best thing about Dell is that you can customise your laptop to your own optimum specifications so I opted for the best quality screen for watching video files and DVDs and upgraded the memory and processor to improve the performance of games. So far I have had no major problems although the charger adaptor has recently failed. However this is covered under the warranty and a replacement arrived within 2 days of calling the cutomer service hotline.
Pros: Specifications can be customised to individual needs. Very stylish Excellent build quality Easily contactable and very helpful customer support
Cons: On the heavy side Standard battery life is average at best (approximately 70 minutes depending on screen brightmess settings and drive use) Adaptor failed after 4 months

(+) cool and quite robust trackpad, good display,64-bit windows 7 (-) few connectors, dell drivers only, not realy for gameing (most models), finger print prone!
Advantages: may look sleek on the outside, but is rotten inside Disadvantages: terrible battery life, useless customer care, motherboard collapses in a few months
