Having to wait for toast as the old one only did two slices a go was at times frustrating, now the merits of a four slice toaster are great as the toast now seems to flow quicker than you can eat it, no one in our house now has to wait for toast.

We got ours from Argos for £48.50 when it had just come out. Alternatively you can buy 8 cheap 'disposable' toasters which we could have done and have several each and look quite greedy!

Retailing at roughly £45 pounds it's not too bad for a four slice toaster, you can find it for a couple of pounds cheaper with a bit of shopping around. Its certainly at the lower end of the toaster market. We got ours from Argos for £48.50 when it had just come out. Alternatively you can buy 8 cheap 'disposable' toasters which we could have done and have several each and look quite greedy!
--- STYLE AND FEATURES ---
There's the obvious four slice feature, however there's more. It's adaptable enough to fit not just toast but less conventional breakfast sustanance such as crumpets, which are considerably wider, so whether its thin or thick slice bread there's no trouble in fitting it in the machine. Additionally there's the "frozen" button feature which allows for, well frozen bread to be toasted, not that it wasn't possible to toast bread from frozen anyway but i'm sure it helps in the process.
In terms of style like many household appliances and electronical gadgetry these days the designers have gone with the retro look giving it old style 'aircraft ' knobs and dials. It has a matt silver finish to it which is meant to help prevent finger marks and appears to work, sadly it does'nt stop jam and butter from sticking to it.
--- QUALITY ---
The toaster is not rock solid but sturdy enough to take a few bangs so take due care. It provides evenly and constantly well toasted bread, but be careful not to knock the heat level control as it moves quite easily and you'll end up with burnt toast. In all, its quality of toastiness is high and we have now come to take our beloved toaster for granted.
--- CONCLUSION ---
If you have a large kitchen and a large family or just particularly like toast lots this is a much recommended buy. I can't tell you its durability as i've only had it for about a month, but for that period there has been no problems. Its stylish, well priced, reliable so far and above all providing four slices at a time, bring on the toast.

There are 4 slots for the bread, these are 15cms long and just over 3cms wide but the adjustable bread holders on the inside are narrower than this so reducing the thickness of the bread that can be used to about 2.5cms
Electrical cable is 30" long and unlike the kettle does not have a moulded plug ...

...first ever kitchen and the Delonghi seemed to fit the bill from both a style bill and a price point. It looks cool and retro and it’s beige colour sits good with any kitchen background. Alone it retails at £39.99 however I purchased the toaster with the matching kettle and got them both for £49.99 all in at Makro in 2007. Since then I have seen this same deal in other retailers so one definitely to look out for! Together it’s a bargain but I don’t ... ...has the standard settings one needs in a toaster. It has four slots, which operate in pairs. The toast setting is numbered one to five and is easily operated. The slots are nice and wide and can accommodate thick slices and crumpets, you can also lift the lever to rise up smaller items so you can get them out easily once toasted. No more poking a knife in! There is also the cancel button should you wish to halt the process and the frozen button, ...

I bought this toaster a 18 months ago and it's still going strong!!! I love the design!...it's got a classic retro cafe style look about it and comes in a lovely cream colour. You can get this in a 2 slot or a 4 slot model. i have got the 4 slot which is brilliant if you are making a round of toast or toasted buns!
You can set the temperature to different settings for each pair of slots, which I like as it makes it easier to cook to peoples tastes ... ...It has got a defrost setting and also a reheat function which is great if you like to freeze your loaves top keep for longer! It has the same pop up feature as with all toasters, although this has the added bonus of a high rise feature, whereby you can lift the lever to make the toast lift higher...so you don't burn your fingers getting it out!! The removable crumb trays make cleaning easier and to be honest even though it doesn';t have a cool wall ...

The Delonghi toasters are a very well known stylish brand, they look good and come in either two or four slot versions, mine is the four slot toaster.
Well things started off well and bless its little cotton socks it has never let me down mechanically, even after the barrage of knives forks etc.. that have been poked into it to get crumpets and the such like out (yes I know you shouldn't do it but we all do) but the same ... ...down I think this toaster is reasonable, but I do think you pay that little more for looks, saying that this is the only item in the Delonghi range I have tried.
Worth a try but I think there are better products on the market, the choice is yours!! ...

I think this is a great toaster. Not just because it is a nice sleek design, but because its easy to use custom settings. It is a 4-slice toaster and the settings for one half of the toaster are independent to the other half. My wife and I like toast made on different settings so this is incredibly useful. We no longer have the frustration of having toast over-toasted because someone had used the toaster in the interim! All the basic features are ...
