Advantages: Quick preheat oven, fast cooking Disadvantages: Can get hot to touch and grill rack is badly designed
After my cheap 750w microwave from ASDA which cost about £20 blew up on me (kept sparking like metal was in the unit, but there wasn't) I decided to go for a more expensive (and more feature-packed unit) as I only have a rather inefficient electric grill and oven in the kitchen, I thought the introduction of a quicker heating small fan oven, with grill AND microwave, for only £80 would be a good investment.
Have had the unit now for about a month ... ...rather brilliant. The oven is particularly useful as my main oven usually takes around 20-30 mins to preheat, this little thing takes about 8 mins and beeps at you when it's at the optimum temperature. AND, because it's fan assisted and smaller, it seems to cook things a lot quicker aswell. We have to be careful with pizzas as we're tending to burn them cos we're used to leaving them in for longer in the main oven.
