Delonghi F603

Advantages: lid is removable to go in dishwasher, doesn't need that much oil
Disadvantages: does not product crispy chips no matter what potatoes or oil you use

I have always wanted a deep fat fryer for those few occasions where you really fancy chips with a meal. The Delongie F603 Chips came my way a month ago. I have now used it 5 times for chips and every time I have been horribly disappointed. I have tried different potatoes, different size chips, drying them out completely, different oils and every single result has been soggy slightly brown round the ends chips. In fact the item I have cannot really be called a fryer. I agree with all the other reviews the same thing happened to me. took 15 mins to warm up and then when I loaded the chips in it did the intial bubbling then stopped and we also had soggy greasy chips. it ruined our dinner. so I am also taking ours back to the store. what a waste of money.
