...Perhaps in future I will refer to ciao reviews before purchasing anything. I have just learnt by my experience. Having just purchased a DelonghiF603 deep fat fryer, believing Delonghi to be a reputable company, I am appalled by this fryer. In fact the item I have cannot really be called a fryer.
It takes over 15 minutes to preheat, even then not reaching a frying temperature, merely slight bubbling, resulting in warm soggy greasy potato pieces, rather than chips.
Despite turning the temperature control to maximum, and setting the timer to 30 minutes, even a small piece of bread dropped into the oil does not even brown.
Either there is a technical problem with the particular one I bought, or this product is totally useless. Straight back to the store with it. AND I WON'T BE GETTING ANOTHER DELONGHIF603....

Advantages: Less fat all round Disadvantages: Locking handle needs improvement
...The Delonghi roto fat fryer has a lot less fat than other fryers and the food spends a lot less time in it too. The basket rotates via a little motor so that your chips don't go soggy in lots of hot, heart straining fat.
The very fact that the quantity of fat required is far less was one of the reasons for buying this, a long with the health advantages it offered. I hate boiling fat, gone are the days of the old pan on the stove and a soaking tea towel next to the cooker. The filter also does a fairly good job of stopping kitchen ceiling getting a sticky brown coating.
There are two disadvantages to this wonderful little invention. The locking device on the handle that holds the basket out of the fat does not hold when you shake the last few drips off your chips which leaves a hot dangling basket that has to be put on the worktop...

having 3 boys to cook for who all lack the patience to actually wait for anything i took the plunge and purchased this fryer from argos.
