Review of "Delonghi HTF3033"
Mum to Alfie.....now 11 weeks old! Will be back reviewing really soon I hope!!! xxx
Even though I would class my house as quit a warm one, for some reason there always seems to be a lack of heat in my spare bedroom, I have a radiator in there and we have checked that it is all working correctly, but for some reason it appears to always stay that little bit chilly, I guess it never sees the sun and for most of the time it is not an issue but when we have friends or family staying over I needed a little something to take the edge of the cold evenings in there so I set about looking around to find a small fan heater. There are many on the market and to be honest, I wasn’t sure what the difference was with them all other than cost so after browsing the internet I finally settled for the Delonghi HTF3033 fan heater and after using it throughout the winter here are my thoughts on it.
I brought the fan heater from Amazon, I did have a look around a couple of shops as well as in the Argos book and it was Amazon that had the model at the cheapest price. It cost me £24.99 which I felt was not a bad price. I was pleased that I had got it for this price as some of the models were quite steep and as long as it took the chill off the room then I would be happy.
The heater came well packaged in a cardboard box and it also came with an instruction booklet and a 12 month guarantee. Although after opening this looked quite straightforward to use, I was still keen to have a quick read. The heater itself is white in colour and the grill at the front is a pale grey. There is the Delonghi logo on the front of the heater but this is quite small. The heater has two grey buttons on the top of it and an electrical lead which goes into the mains.
The power for the heater is 3kw and it comes with 3 different heat settings, what I also liked about the heater is that there is a thermostat control on it so you can set the heater to hit a certain temperature and then it won’t get any higher, this was perfect for what I wanted as I didn’t want the room to be boiling, I just wanted a little something that was going to take the chill off the room. I did not want it so there was lots of dry heat in there as I think this would cause trouble to people sleeping.
I found the heater to be very easy and safe to use, once plugged in and you had chosen the setting you wanted, I tended to have it on the middle one, the lower setting needed to be on longer and the top temperature would blast the hot air out quite quick but then it would click off as it was to warm and the temperature would drop again, I prefer the middle one as it gave a more constant heat. The heater managed to fill the room with the heat as opposed to just the area that it was plugged in by so again, another plus point.
There is not much that I can say is a disadvantage with this heater, it works well and for the price and the fact it is guaranteed is a good deal.
5 out of 5 from me
