Advantages: makes lovely coffee quickly - cheap - makes up to 10 cups Disadvantages: bulky

I have a serious addiction to caffeine and without it cannot function at all first thing in the morning so I needed a cheap and quick no frills coffee maker and I got it with this beast.
EASE OF USE
It is a doddle to use the coffee maker. Filter papers are inserted into the top section that swings out to make it easier - coffee is measured out and put on top of the filter and the water reserved is topped up with water - The water line is marked off with the number of cups the machine will make - The maximum being 10.
Once the above has been done you are ready to roll and the power switch is flicked on and the water starts to warm - bubbling and quiet gurgling sounds as it makes its way up from the reserve and into the filter containing the coffee - Within 60 seconds the piping hot coffee is making it's way into the glass jug below - Normally I fill the reserve half way and it takes 10 minutes for the jug to fill - obviously this time increases/decreases depending upon how much water has to come through the filter paper and ground coffee.
PERFORMANCE & RESULTS
The taste of the coffee will obviously depend upon the blend you choose but I have never had any problems with the quality or taste of the coffee produced using this machine - it is always piping hot and tastes great.
DURABILITY
The machine is made from plastic and the jug is glass making it fragile - My only niggle with the build is the actual size - it is really bulky and takes up quite a lot of room on the side on my kitchen.
CLEANING
Cleaning is simple - The filter holder can be removed easily and emptied into a bin and the lid of the jug is detachable so you can get your hand intot he jug to clean it properly - there is no build up of skank at the bottom of the jug.
SAFETY
The plate underneath the jug is red hot and I have a few times burnt myself due to carelessness - nothing more - If you can remember that the machine is on and that it's hot there isn't a safety issue - It is wise not to put this anywhere where a small child could pull it off.
Overall I love my coffee maker and I'm very happy with my purchase - Better than a £300 machine anyday
Advantages: Ease of Use, inexpensive Disadvantages: no cord storage
Bought this from Homebase For £12.99. Its available in Black or white, it is basic its only function button being the on/off button on the front, although there is a more expensive model which has auto timer if needed. It has a permanent washable filter which is handy and also a money saver. It makes at least 10 decent mug sizes of coffee and keeps it adequately hot. The water filter runs around the rear of the filter and has transparent sides and ...
