Advantages: Excellent coffee
Disadvantages: milk frother could be bit longer

...Superb coffee!! You can set the strength that you wish! This 3 in 1 machine gives you espresso, cappucino or filtered coffee. It keeps filtered coffee warm on the hot plate for as long as you wish, if you put it on in the morning and leave it on all day, by the evening the coffee stays fresh tasting and piping hot! You can froth your milk for cappucino, this is quite tricky to use, I think that the frother should be longer! You can still froth milk though and have a lovely cappucino. Real bargain at around £50. You can have espresso/cappucino and filter going at the same time. Great if you have a dinner party. It holds the maximum 10 cups of filtered coffee and 4 espresso or cappucinos.. It seemed a bit confusing a first on how it worked, but didn't take long to work out! Now I seem to constantly have it on!!... Read review

Advantages: Cosmetic appeal, taste, keeps coffee hot
Disadvantages: Glass carafe leaks, manufacturer's service, price

...Replaced old machine with this one. So pleased with it's look in the kitchen that I bought the toaster and kettle to match! After two or three days coffee was spilling when pouring - could see that the plastic lid was not sealed to the glass jug properly. Took back to John Lewis who replaced it - no problem. Got new one home - same again. Thought I'd ring DeLonghi - 'not covered for glass jug - would you like to buy another?' Reply - 'think it's a bad batch of jugs - somebody may be scalded - had this one one day, previous machine a couple of days'. Explained I'm not trying to claim under guarantee but for a machine not fit for purpose. Got nowhere - took it back to John Lewis. They offered refund or replacement. Opted for replacement after very nice lady tested one for an hour. OK for a couple of weeks - same problem. Now still... Read review
