The kettle comes in a lovely gun metal grey colour and is metal not like theses regular plastic types kettles you can pick up for a fiver in most shops. Ok, so it is a bit more expensive, you can buy it for about £20 in most home stores, such as Debenhams but I have a lovely new kitchen so I wanted something a bit stylish and this fitted the bill.
The kettle is almost a dome type shape such as a jug and is bigger at the bottom than the top. It has avery cool arched handle all the way up the kettle which is quite sturdy and holds the kettle well. It's comfortalbe to hold as you can get you hand allt he way around it unlike some kettles where you can only hold a portion of it. THis makes pouring fromt he kettle very easy and leads to little or no spill. As the top the lid is metal and has a little plastic round hook for taking the lid off. Now, my one and only complaint with this is that when the kettle has just boiled but you need to fill it up again if you are making tea for lots of people then this top metal lid is very hot and very hard to get off and you will burn your fingers on it. You need to hold the top of the lid when pulling the plastic hood so beware, let it cool down for a bit.
The kettle has a filter on it, a metal mesh filter at the top of the spout to ensure fresh and clean water. This is quite easy to remove and clean and is reusable. I don't think we've replaced it yet and we have had the kettle for about a year and a half. The kettle is very eay to clean. The outside just wipes clean with a damp cloth and we have no problems with the inside either.
The kettle sits in a round plastic base which has the plug attached to it. The lovely thing about this is that the extension lead can actually be coiled into the plastic base to whatever length you would like it so no need for unsightly cord on display in your kitchen. When boiling the keelte does make a bit of noise but is not amazingly loud.
The kettle holds quite a bit of water, enough for one big pot of tea.
All in all a fab kettle to go with a lovely new kitchen and toaster!
Advantages: Looks cool Disadvantages: expensive, awkward to fill, very heavy when full
I got this kettle the same time as the matching toaster (see separate review). They look very good in their matt gun metal finish which supposedly doesn’t show finger marks. It has a :
• 3 kW element for a fast boil with a 1.7 litre capacity and water gauge. • Easy pour spout. • A removable, washable lime scale filter. • Safety cut out and automatic switch off with an illuminated power indicator so you can see if its on
• A convenient 360 degree ... ...also has a very handy simmer facility which keeps the water hot
What I didn’t like when I got it home was • the really small lid, its too small to get your hand in to wipe out the inside, • its also very heavy when full • its too awkward to fill via the spout ...

Advantages: Always looks clean Disadvantages: No real disadvantages
I bought the delonghi meteoplis because as I wanted an aesthetically pleasing kettle that would fit in with other chrome kitchen appliances in my kichen.
The thing that drew me to this kettle was that it was a dulled chrome, I had previously had a chrome kettle that looked wonderfully stylish when I first bought it and after a month it looked awful. It looked awful from finger prints and marks and not matter how often I clean it it always looked ... ...disappointed. The kettle has that same performance as most other kettles but doesn't suffer from the greasey finger fate.
The kettle is cordless and fits on to the base. The base has a long wire that can be wound up to your desired length a neatly stored under the base. There is a level indicator on the side to see how full it is. It is an efficent kettle and doesn't take ours to boil. Simple to use you fill it stand it on the base and lick no the ...

Advantages: Attractive, modern design Disadvantages: no lifespan, poorly made
I have owned one of these kettles for close to two years now. In paid over £50 pounds for it, and I admit it was bought as it ' went' with everything else in my new kitchen.
The kettle itself is lovely to look at, curvy, modern, and comfortable to grip and pour. A well-known reputable brand.
I don't use the kettle an awful lot, its used when my parents come for the odd cup of tea, or it was used for boiling water for milk when our daughter was ... ...or coffee so I've never used it for anything else other than the baby and visitors.
It goes to say it was certainly not abused. However after 1.5 years the bottom grey ring started to come away, which looked extremely unsafe to me. The small ring handle on the lid came away as the screw inside had become rusty and had near disintegrated! Surely not a well thought out design. Lastly the button that allows the kettle to boil would not stay down and ...

This kettle is funky looking but practical. The handle is easy to hold when pouring and it is good value for money and economical to use.It has all the features that you could wish for in a kettle and at the same time looks great and modern for a kitchen.Alsoit is very easy to clean because of the shape. It is cordless so the kettle can be lifted up from the base and taken to where you wanted to pour hot water into for example cups. You can look at ...
