Advantages: auto stop and humidistat function Disadvantages: instructions could have been more in depth
...We have been having ongoing problems at our flat for the last few months and have found mould growth to be a serious problem.
We were advised to put in a dehumidifier to hopefully be a solution to the dampness in the flat and stop mould from growing any further so I researched into dehumidifiers (honestly, I had no idea what they were or what they did), and finally narrowed it down to a few models from the Argos catalogue.
De'Longhi was our first choice with Ebac and Prem I Air to follow. I researched into all the models, prices, manufacturers' websites and read soooo many reviews. I was amazed at how much information there was to learn and understand about dehumidifiers and how they can benefit you.
Why do we get mould?
It simply starts with condensation. We can be adding approximately 20pints of moisture into the air by our...

Advantages: The sense of absolute cleanliness after using the Polti is unmatched with any other product. Disadvantages: It is quite a bulky item, like a vacuum cleaner, so needs its own storage space.
...I bought this product a few years ago and can only say that if you don't much like housework but like a clean house then this is the product for you. The high temperature steam, delivered through brushes (protected by towel "baggies") means that dirt is immediately lifted off surfaces - floors, countertops etc) and the baggies themselves are washable as towels so completely re-usable. Small brush-heads mean you can lift hard deposits in ovens quite easily, and if defrosting is still a necessity then the speed with which this is achieved is just marvellous. The window cleaning squeegee attachments are brilliant - windows and mirrors have never seemed so clean! In hard water areas the addition of CalStop prevents limescale buildup and the Polti mail order service for phials of this product is very efficient.....

Advantages: It allows you to boil only the water you need so saving . Disadvantages: The cold water and boiled water can sometimes mix.
...This product has been designed for those with Eco sensibilities and initially it seems to fulfill it's purpose. The premise is simple - to only boil the water you need thereby saving energy. In order to achieve this the kettle is designed to have two reservoirs - the central one that you fill and the outer reservoir that you actually boil. You fill the middle and use the plunger to select the correct amount. In principle this is fine but there are a couple of flaws; the first is that unless you have read the instructions it can be difficult to work out how to use this - visitors trying to use the kettle often cannot figure it out. The measurements indicating the cups of water used are fine for small cups but not mugs and finally when you pour the boiled water out I have found the seal on the central reservoir is not watertight...
