Now you don't have to look for addresses of your friends or contacts or ask them every time, just download then on to the Nav100 and every time you want to look for directions click on their name, forget postcodes, street names, town, etc. The quality of the screen on this system is right up there with the high-resolution tft screens you would get on a PC and that's thanks to the Germans for not cutting any corners.
The maps come from Navteq and are pretty recent as far as GPS maps go. Companies like tomtom and Garmin make you believe you need daily or monthly updates so they can keep making more money out of you like Microsoft is doing. I mean, for god sake how often do we get a new street or a new postcode added to any city any where in the world??! You still get the upgrades for the Nav100 but I will never bother. It's just like Windows releasing a new version every damn year or so, which is supposedly better than the last and it turns out to be full of holes. I guess the map companies need to make money some how, otherwise one map supplied would last their customer decades if they were not careful!!!
Bought this for an unbelievable bargain price of £159 from ebay, I was scared it might be some sort of a copy or a fake because it was so cheap but it is exactly the same as the one my father in law bough from Germany for 499 EUR (£360)!! unbelievable!! I had to check every bits and pieces to make sure it was the same, I could not believe my eyes, it's the best bargain I ever got.
Advantages: the only GPS with Microsoft ActiveSync, The only GPS that can work without a signal Disadvantages: price could have been lower
I agree, Grundig nav100 is definitely far better than any tomtom!! Why is the tomtom so popular here anyway?? I have had nothing but problems with my tomtom All this is going to change when this little beauty is available in the UK. Well actually you can get it now, I got mine from amazon UK for £399.99 but apparently it will be launched officially next year. You can also get it from Europe but with postage it will cost the same anyway. Ok, now ... ...old can use this, it's the most user friendly GPS ever, and the screen is almost like a High Definition TV!! It is so easy to see it in any lighting conditions. It's got this excellent pop arrows which I've never seen on other systems, I read some where destinator and navteq built this unique map and pop arrows just for the NAV100 and it works like a treatJ Unlike most other systems you get updates for the software and the maps, I updated my software ...

Quick review of Delphi Grundig NAV 100
The unique Delphi Grundig NAV 100, is the only GPS on the market which can synchronise itself with your Microsoft Outlook, this is an invaluable feature especially for a businessman or people who have many contacts. You just sync the Nav 100 with your Outlook contacts and then you can directly navigate to their address at the press of a button.
My cousin in Germany first told me about this system, I bought one while I was out there. Apparently no one in Germany buys Tomtom, Garmin and all the other mainstream GPS systems because the NAV100 is the most accurate and easy to use GPS on the market. However it does come with a hefty price tag of 500 Euros or 360 British pounds!! but I suppose for that you get a German built quality product.
UK release date: summer 2008, price: expect to pay £400 ...

Bought a Nav 100 from ebay and its been by far the best sat nav I have ever used. it comes with a full map of europe on cd and pre-installed maps on an sd card, full post code search, speed camera alerts can be added. I must say this has been by far the best sat nav I have ever had and I have been using them for the last 4 years. Its a great little gps, affordable and much more accurate than anything I owned previously. The Germans have done it again!! ...

Just about the best Christmas present ever. Where do I begin with the NAV100? the stylish looks? Easy to use and versatile layout? Outlook synchronization? Incredible battery life?.... This little sat nav has it all and a lot more. It is like a little mobile PC, containing all the crucial information you will ever need while you are out of the office/home. All your contacts, appointments, addresses, tasks, etc. can be stored on the NAV100 and later ... ...SD card that contains the maps of UK & Ireland and you get all the other European maps on a double CD-ROM. Comes with speed camera alerts from a very well established French company called GPS inform, who currently has the most detailed speed camera database of the entire Europe.
I found the joy stick and the buttons on the unit an absolute godsend, no more wondering around an endless array of menus and sub-menus to find what you're looking for. ...

Advantages: Not sure. Disadvantages: Poor Styling and too much downloading required.
I recently bought a Nav100 after reading the glowing reports from the previous reviews. I was convinced the Nav100 would be ideal. Sadly it was a let down. I travelled to a town 20 miles away and it lost the route completely. When I contacted Navteq for an up to date UK map I was informed that although they supply many makes they do not supply Nav100 directly and I would have to contact Grundig first. I did this and they told me that the current ... ...than that. It also does not come with camera alerts installed unlike a lot of other units available, so you have to do it yourself, which I found an absolute pain and not very easy. It is also very bulky unlike other slimmer makes available. It also came with a 2-pin continental plug, which means you have to buy an adaptor to charge it at home. I paid £137 for it, which I now feel is too much. Unfortunately the voice activated instructions has now ...
