Story

Game play
A average first person shooter with weapons based on real weapons at the time. The levels are all pretty much standard for a shooter game you have to follow the path set out not much area for you to explore
As in most games of this type you have to select your weapon and can only carry limited ammo for them so you have to choose carefully depending on the levels,
The AI is not very good and the enemy do not find cover just usually stand there waiting for you to kill them, and you team mates are no help what so ever and more of a hindrance then a help.
Controls/Graphics
It is fairly easy to control and the keys are customisable so you can set the controls to your own liking. The camera angles are pretty good and the graphics are fairly good with a few good cut scenes.
Multiplayer
As in most games it has online play with match types like death match, team death match and capture the flag being the main game types with a few others thrown in. You have to select your class and your weapons as like in other games to your own setting and join a team.
Value for Money
A standard first person shooter, that is not that long or too hard to complete and once completed once you would not really want to play it again and the multiplayer is not up to much, only worth buying if you can pick it up cheap as much better games available to buy.
Although if you like creating your own maps it comes with a mission editor so you can create maps of your own and missions.

This game takes you there, and plants you right in the middle of the conflict.

Advantages: A blast to play and the included level editor offers quite a bit of replay value; good graphics and great use of sound effects; provides the feel of the "you are there" aspect well. Disadvantages: Too short; instances of poor framerates; aggravatingly difficult at times; AI.
Novalogic is a game company that specializes in military shooters. They've created a few fighter jet titles and a handful of "Delta Force" sequels. But getting back on subject, the "Delta Force" games were never much of a stand-out, they were the definition of "lose one cent, gain another." For example, the graphics were average at best but the sound effects were great and the melding of realism and action was more than competent. The repetitive ... ...thirty missions) brought it down, however, and it soon lost its fun factor. The sequels to "Delta Force" only got worse as they lost the fun of the original and were thrown about in the shuffle with the release of many other tactical title and graphically superior games. Novalogic attempted to change that with the recent release of "Black Hawk Down." With the missions being moderately based on the great film of the same name you can expect authenticity ...

Advantages: good graphics, fun to play Disadvantages: repeats itself
I cant comment on the single player game, because i have never ever even bothered to play it, i dont like siongle player games for P.C's thats what consoles are made for however i love my internet and local LAN games.
This game is what we all play on a thursday night after college which is a blast. At first i didnt quite like it since im a huge rainbow six raven shield fan.
But after some much needed training i fell in love with the multiplayer ... ...to play me at it :D
In multiplayer mode you first have to create your gaming profile this includes your name, your character style (miliatry or rebel) then you weapon choice.
Now you see your weapon choice fits in with what sort of character you have choosen if your a sniper you get a choice of sniper rifles (for the record the barret is the best) a secondary weapon like a pistol and then exras like claymores (leave those minds behind you and watch ...

If your a fan of the film BlackHawk Down then you have to buy the game. This game has been well written as it follows the original story of the US soldiers. When in 1993, US Special Operation Forces entered Somalia to keep the peace. This turned into a full scale war, and many people lost their lives in over 10 months of fighting.
This games has it all, from challenging missions and objectives. As a soldier you have to protect civilians, intercept ... ...to take control of some amazing weapons mounted on Humvee jeeps and amoured vehicles. However this was a little dissapointing as you cant take control of the vehicles. So there isnt the freedom you have with other similar games ie. Battlefield 1942.
The detail is superb within the game from burnt out buildings, room clearouts with grenades, and helicopters flying above as your extraction point. This all adds to the emmese atmosphere that this game ...
